Super Schoolhouse zone (Baldi's Basics but as a Sonic stage)

I added more detail to the camping minigame and changed this small place inside the farm minigame. And yes I also added the plates to the cafeteria.

There's a lot of changes in the camping minigame so I made a video instead:

And I added the armagedon shield so you won't get overwhelmed by enemies in the blue button section.

Damn, you've been cooking since last time I checked by :D
Looks amazing dude!
I'm pretty impressed by what I'm seeing! Good work! Baldi would be proud of you. :wonderful:
Thanks y'all! It seems that the countless amount of seeds I played in BB+ are starting to become apparent. I wonder if this addon will fully come out before v0.6. I will maybe add some features from this next update if they fit in. (And if I get my hands on the textures)

Made a test of the exit gate mechanic along with a short buildup section.

The video shows how this whole area will work. You will have to go through the schoolhouse at night time with occasional working lamps that will light up the hallways. After a bit of running you will reach an exit that will get blocked off by a gate. After 3 closed exits there will be only one left, this time there will be no gate stopping you from escaping and somehow that will be it. I'm starting to get real close to finishing this stage.
After that, you find yourself outside the schoolhouse with two options, explore the small hub like area or just run into signpost.

The song that you hear when you reach the first exit gate is schoolhouse escape, but it's the free run variant. This is also a remix like the main theme of this stage. It's an early version so I will change it a bit.

Remember when I said that this addon could come out before v0.6? Well, it can still come out before v0.7 comes out... :dramahog:
Since few weeks ago I started to feel first signs of a burnout and at this point it's in full swing. I also went on vacation that I just came back from and I thought that I just need some time to rest, but it seems that it's not working as much as I wanted. My brain just decided that all of the map making I was doing since almost a full year wasn't actually fun. :/

But I still have a shmol update. Due to new BB+ update making BSODA rarer and instead making a new more common variant I decided that it's a pretty cool thing to add to my map. Now the original BSODA vending machines can be only found inside staff rooms. And the diet variant can be found all around school. (So your kids won't get diabetes, but of course staff can't diabetes cause they're adults. So they get the original variant)

I hope I just won't pull out the "it's enough content for a full stage so I will release it early even if I haven't realised all of my ideas" card with this stage because I really want this stage to be a high quality love letter to this series as a whole. But I just don't like the idea of working around half a year on a singular stage with extremly simple terrain. But I need to finish what I started and I'm just all over the place at the moment in terms of motivation. :dramahog:

This is honestly pretty interesting, gotta admit. The last time I played BB was the original while messing around with that one Mod Menu mod, I'll make sure to get this when it releases (either the day it drops or the day after).

EDIT: About the forest area, I could see some sort of Final Demo CEZ2 situation happening with that one guy camping at the door until all of the buttons have been pressed if you get what I mean. The map's still impressive tho.

A small miscellaneous update. I added objects and more life into unfinished sections, added the green storage locker from the v0.6 update, added sfx to both normal doors and swing doors and added a click sound for the large buttons that open lockdown doors. (I had to find some way to use this sfx. It just sounds so good some how.)

I made a video because we can't hear pictures yet. :D

And here's the green locker. It has no practical use, even if that would be a pretty cool thing, it's just here for decoration.

I have a pretty silly idea. I have been thinking about what would happen if somehow this project would go into attention of mystman12 himself. And you know what? The chances of this are really low, so instead I will reach out to him directly by emailing him!
The only problem with that is that my email is named after m y f u l l l e g a l n a m e. And I don't feel quite comfortable sharing my real name with a random person due to privacy issues. But I'm practically anonymous in terms of info of my on the internet so I might just YOLO it.
Wish my introvert + light anxiety brain luck.

I made some small visual changes to classrooms and hallways. Mainly added the cork boards for classrooms and faculty only rooms. And for the hallways I added one extra wall texture. It's just that one wierd inspirational quote with multi colored text.

And yes, I made a game theory reference.

I have finally collected enough courage to personally reach out to mystman12 about this stage. And I spent two days of my life carefully writing a whole masterpiece so I won't regret wasting my chance to have an actual non-cringe conversation with him. And yesterday I finished writing it, and after mentally preparing myself for like 5 minutes I finally clicked the send button...
Now I only need to wait for a response...
THIS IS LIKE THE MOST HYPE THING ABOUT THIS WHOLE PROJECT, I WILL FAINT IF HE ACTUALLY RESPONDS. I DIDN'T EVEN PLANNED DOING THIS WHEN I STARTED CREATING THIS STAGE, IT WAS JUST A RANDOM INTRUSIVE THOUGHT!
:wow: YIPEE!1!1! :wow:

A GAME THEEEOOOORYY

Also, bravo for contacting mystman12 himself for this project! Wish you the best of luck! 🫰

I made new revamped sections for the exit sections, and made them based about certain parts of the stage. First is running around hallways, second is gimmicks like belt and buttons, third will be platfroming and the last one is going to be a final rush to the last exit. I also made better version of the exit theme. And added library too.

"Schoolhouse terror" - by me!!111!11! :wow:

After trying to make the platforming sections I realized that they make this stage lose it's BB's charm, so I decided to scrap the platforming sections and just skip to the final idea. Instead I will add the pit-stop location. It will look like this, the entrance to the field trip area and to the save & exit door will be blocked by lockdown doors and to open the doors you will have to go to Johnny's store, second to the field trip area which will be an outside section and finally to the save & exit door. It will be repurposed as the final hallways of the school with the Baldi poster pointing to the save & exit door saying something like "Exit this way!"

I didn't added rest of the textures yet because to add the store door I have to add 4 seperate textures. And for the store I have to add 4 seperate textures again. ( :< ) I'm sure like 75% of the WAD file size are the textures and sprites.

Honestly can't wait to try this out, lookin' great!

Added more sections between the pitstop and the main stage and you can finally enter it without noclip! (The pitstop was out of bounds until now.)
I also added a bit more detail to earlier sections, conceptualized few new posters and added the auto-door texture for Johnny's store.

I will also visually upgrade the pitstop to make it less empty, and maybe add some enemies too.

I also forgor to show it in the video but I made this small optional area that you can check out.

That is kind of an oof.

Still though, good concept! Can't wait to actually play the thing, when finished.

Thanks y'all! This stage is slowly but consistently getting closer to being finished, The closest thing to being finished is the final level layout.
i like the hidden message “when the don’t those” /j

for real tho, “YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE” Is clever.
Me when silly Bald guy game has more eerie atmoshpere than most of mascot horror. BALDI'S BASICS IS THE GOAT!!!
null/glitch mode version soon?
In which way, you mean like the whole stage is dark/at night or whar. If yes, I maybe could make the whole stage take place at night with no enemies, music and other stuff. I could make this an unlockable if I even knew how to make those. I would probably add some light sources too.

And one more thing, is it even worth it to release a demo at this point? There might be chance that I miss something due to how large this stage is and I want to be sure that this stage is extremely high quality, and that I won't have to do a day one patch because I missed some random thing.

ya know id love to play a demo ngl
I already released a demo a page back, but it’s really outdated looking at how this stage looks now. But I’ll maybe release a new version if people want it.

After thinking a bit the concept of alt version of this stage at night seems pretty cool to me, but can you atleast explain what you meant by null style? Cause there is a lot going on in this style and I’m wondering which part of this style you wanted to see added.

you know where its all empty and such, and if you can code it, null chasing you through the stage, crashing your game if caught
