KART VS RATING!
Kart VS Rating, known from here on as KVR, is a server tool offering a competitive edge to Kart, along with a handful of subsystems aimed at encouraging interaction and socialization between players. There are many commands and subsystems at play, and we'll go into more detail below!

New players will start in Wood League, with a Rating of 1,000. Their Rating fluctuates depending on their finish position and the Ratings...

the "Gamespeed will cahnge next round to " massege shows up even when kvr_kartspeed is not set to auto and there is no change.
same with "ratingbot"

also kvr_speedo and kvr_hud are not documented
 
Amazing addon, it adds so many interactive player to player features! Only issue I have is the lack of an option to change the second count for the autospec feature. Besides that, it's amazing!
I'm also glad to see that the NVJR highlight feature is accessible in a public way on the MB! Thanks you for the work you put into this!
 
This is a fantastic add-on! My server's loving it and we haven't even dug into the big features yet.
I'm having an issue since incorporating it where it no longer plays certain winning/finishing tracks that we already had going on in the server. Any idea what may be causing this and what I can do to fix it?
I haven't touched the music settings this mod uses yet either, though we plan to.

Update - 1.1

After some feedback and suggestions, here's an update!

- Bugfix where awards table properly resets if a map is reloaded after custom intermission but before properly ending the level. Duplicate awards should no longer appear in this case.
- New serverside awards command, "kvr_bloopers"(default off): Toggles awards highlighting player's misfortune (JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL, FEARLESS LAWNMOWER, etc). Does not affect the Choke Artist award.
- New serverside command, "kvr_automode" (Default...

Yep, that's exactly what I meant, sorry about that! Win and OK pretty much never play, and Lose plays very infrequently. Just keeps playing the map's track until voting time when this happens.
 
@RetroStation I was recently mentored (on kart hosting) that playing kart on normal gets boring quickly, many new players join popular servers that use Hard speed exclusively.
Perhaps you could include an auto speed variant that just switches from Hard to Expert?

Expert Speed will not be implemented in future releases, but Encore Hard will remain in that roll slot.

Hey there, any updates on this? I'm still having this issue since using this mod, even with v1.5!
 
I think there should be an option for Auto-Spectate to kick in only during races with more than two players, since I think it's more important during races to shoo out AFK players that don't move at the starting line and is more of an annoyance during the waiting process.

I'm also curious if there are any updates on this aswell I haven't seen anything mentioned on it in a while
 
I know the main goal of this whole addon is the fact that it adds a rating system, but i'd like to have literally everything but the rating system, as it feels like it creates more toxicity than competition. But I absolutely love the custom intermission. Is there a way to turn off the rating system somehow?
 
I think it'd work better if there were always a net gain in points. For example, in a 1v1 race the winner could win 15 points while the loser loses 10, or something along those lines.
 
I don't know why nobody has said this here, but this mod conflicts with HOSTMOD by disabling clans.
For whatever reason, KVR is forcing hm_scoreboard off, rendering clans unavailable.

not sure about the clan thing, but I could have sworn that KVR has its own scoreboard variable
