CobaltBW submitted a new resource:

AddBot - A server tool for adding and maintaining bots, for both offline and online multiplayer use

This is a utility that allows the server to easily add, remove, and maintain bots on their server. It also comes with settings for allowing other players to do the same, at the server's discretion.

botperms - Allows all players to add and remove cooperative-type bots.
mpbotperms - Allows all players to add and remove multiplayer-type bots.
botleaderperms - Allows all players to move bots to a new location.
maxbots - Sets the maximum number of allowed bots on the...

If you set maxplayers to max or 32 it thinks all slots are taken

I see that the mp bots doesn't have an ai yet which is fine.... I do recommend to change addbot to something like addplayer/addCP. Just because the addbot command feels common. It just my opinion you don't have to do it if you wanted to ok?

CobaltBW updated AddBot with a new update entry:

V1.1 Release

- Added console variable botautomaxplayers - Determines whether the maxplayers should be raised or lowers as bots are added and removed (Default: Off)
- Fixed bugs related to the pre-existing auto-maxplayers feature and bot kicking

I've been receiving questions about this, so I believe it's worth clarifying. The script has a feature in which adding bots or removing bots will raise/lower the maxplayers setting to make sure the same number of human players can still join the server. If your maxplayers is set to 32, the addbot command will not allow you to add any more bots, since the maxplayers cannot be set any higher.

This ended up not being a very intuitive feature. I have left it in as a toggleable option (see the V1.1 update), but it is now disabled by default.

Yes, not being able to actually download the game would certainly lead to playability problems

You mean the bots moving and facing to the wall? Well, this also does to me when i'm playing this addon with foxbot too, and i guess when they're attacking in distance like Fang or using their jump ability, this happens: Fang doesn't aim to the enemies, and for example: Knuckles goes in a straight line when is gliding and doen't climb and instead jumps off of the wall. Also note that when using spindash and the character bot that is able to spindash is still moving and is a bit away from you, it keeps moving and doesn't perform the spindash; but it does when you're standing still with the bot.
So i guess it's a glitch, like Modunlami said.
