Yes I'm in 3rd, shush...

Goodness this looks so awesome, and the artstyle looks neat, looking like a handdrawn or clean style even though they're sprites

This looks really nice. the square font is really clean and legible.

Do you guys plan to do cups like kart? Or something similar.
Not sure if we'll do cups but there's a tournament concept that falls into one of the 3 racing gametypes we currently have planned.

Given that the new HUD style is shown off, I will now share these concepts I had for the HUD, in order to show how it evolved over time.

1)
HUD Concept.png

This was the original HUD design I had, retaining the original style in a way.

2)
NEO HUD Concept.png

This was one of the first redesigns I did, moving bits around to better work while giving a bit more space at the bottom

3)
NEO HUD Concept D.png

This took the one I showed before and added some more details, including the rank system and a font which I made for the split timer. It also made the Level System use a simple star system instead of also including an 'Lv. X' thing of the prior redesign.

4)
NEO HUD Concept E.png

This was where I decided to make our own Air gauge, somewhat inspired by the one which is in Sonic Free Riders.

5)
NEO HUD Concept F.png

And this is the most recent HUD concept I had made, which was tweaked slightly in the code. This frees up more space in the middle of the screen for the player to see things, and uses the Ring and Gear appearance from Free Riders to show what Gear Type is in use.
