Sneaker Panels Stack Standalone v9

Lua by Ashnal
Textures by Fayt

With this script included in a map, the mapper can mark selected sneaker panel sectors as stackable. A single stackable panel works just like a normal one, the differences happen when a player, while under the effects of the first panel, hit the second panel. Their speed will increase beyond the normal panel speed. This happens again for the third, to a lesser degree. The boost flame color changes with stack level.

Panels stack up to 3 times.
Consistent with vanilla design, the 2 additional stack levels have a consistent speed on all vanilla speed settings.

Here's a gif from the attached test map:

I modified the Egg Zeppelin map for gif demonstration purposes here only:

This is compatible with BoostLib innately, and BoostLib will take over and provide the functionality if loaded.

How to use:

Add this to your map pack. Though this is not marked reusable, this is allowed and required.
Please use the provided animated rainbow textures for stackable panels to differentiate them from normal ones.
This will create consistency for players across multiple map packs that use these.

In Zone Builder, add a sector special to the stackable panels from the Generalized Effects tab, Second section, "Trigger Line Ex. (Emerald Check)"

Keep in mind that the distance between panels may factor into whether they stack or not, and that it is possible to create sets that link up for faster speed characters, but not lower speed ones. Avoid placing them too far apart for this reason as it will result in your map favoring high speed characters even more. Test your panel sets with 1 speed characters to make sure they chain at low speed stats.

I've attached a test map pk3 as well, It overwrites MAP01 and is not intended for general use.

While this script is marked non-reusable, it is in fact intended to be re-packaged into others' maps without modification of the script or textures themselves.

This is a really cool and yet simple mechanic that could certainly add alot to sections that often have multiple boost panels anyways. A bit of a shame this mod isn't reusable, but considering you still gave permission for it to be used in people's maps, and that it helps compatibility, I suppose it's alright.

It isn't reusable because it is necessary that all maps that use it need to use the same behavior. If one map changes the script in their usage, it breaks it for others that use it. We can't have that. I'd much rather mappers let me know if there is an issue, then I fix it and keep everyone on the same baseline. Like Paragliders.

The whole purpose is to have other people put it in their maps as a map element.
