Port of viewroll and kickroll code from id Software's Quake to SRB2. As the code is licensed under GPLv2, this addon is also licensed as such.

You may re-use code from this addon under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 2.

It adds adjustable convars:
  • cl_rollspeed - How fast you have to be running for the camera to tilt (default 36 fracunits)
  • cl_rollangle - How much the camera tilts as you move; internally multiplied by 4 (default 2.0 deg.)
  • v_kickroll - How much the camera kicks when you get hurt; internally multiplied by 10 (default 0.6 deg.)
  • v_kicktime - Time in seconds the kick lasts (default 0.5 seconds)
  • cl_deathtilt - Tilt the camera upon death, just like in source. On/Off (default off)
The convars save, so if you load the addon again, you'll keep the values from last session.

This is one of my favorite little things!! It's made replaying levels feel very animated and renewed, and with the right tuning feels as natural as the viewrolling in SRB2kart and gets me super into the game as a result. I love cruising at momentum mod-type speeds with this on and I think it makes an interesting pair with the Colors Rotate mod.
