Look guys, look! It's another Personalization Patch! Ultimate classic update.
This one's focused onRhythm and BalancePerformance and Balancing, as promised within the last post.
Not much else to say other than what's here, so here's that:
- Lunar Landslide now also uses the "Special Rings" to mechanically flow better with the rest of the map. Watch out when they change color!
- Unnecessary Things that were made obsolete with changes to the map have been removed to help with Performance Issues. I don't know why I didn't already do this with the first Personalization Patch.
- A good chunk of the Things throughout the map have been removed to further assist with Performance Issues.
Various Thing placements throughout the map have been altered to accompany this.
- Personalization Value Variables have been altered as well. In general, a casual player running across the map from star to star should have a less "Personalized" experience when compared to the experiences those who desire a more "Personalized" experience. See what you want to, and don't see what you don't want to see!
Keep those Visitor Visions and Personal Patches coming! See you when the next one rolls around.

P.S. If you've been following the discussion, I've got a Showcase Video for Personalization Palace coming out real soon.
Be on the lookout for it if there's something you're missing and can't find yourself, or something you want revealed without your own effort...
No New Version to Download, Sorry! BUT...
I've taken note of some balancing and performance concerns brought about in the Fitted Farewell/Tailored Tribute Update. Stuff like that is pretty important to the player experience and should really be enough to justify a patch in itself. However, I'm awfully ambitious (to some admitted faults) and have been thinking about what else could come with it. Like I've said before, I've done everything I wanted to do with the map... but that's just what I wanted to do with the map!
There are probably all sorts of things y'all, the players would love to add to the map other than just fixes and tweaks, which leads me to the following statement:
Talk about your own ideas for Personalization Palace, and they just may happen in a later Personalization Patch or Visitor Vision Content Update!
Of course, not EVERYTHING will happen since I'm only one guy with my own lines I will not cross out of once again, respect of the original OLDC release,
and I've got other stuff I want to work on too, like Seasonal Saviors, Sonic into Dreams... v2.0, and Project Four by Fate!
Mind "awfully ambitious to some admitted faults..."
I just felt a need to reiterate that after it previously being a footnote in the last post.
Have fun, and remember that Every Palace is Personalized!
Happy Julian Calendar New Year!
This is a "Personalization Patch," consisting of a couple requested and collaborated minor updates. There can be more in the future, but this is what I've got now. Once again, this is a patch, so there are no new or meaningful content additions. I've done what I've wanted to do with map.
- Fixed some broken FOFs in Urban Flight. (done by El-fire)
- Updated Urban Flight to use "special" rings instead of "normal" rings. (done by SonicHeroX45)
- Made new paintings which serves as updated entrances to Urban Flight (made by El-fire) and Baking Power (made by SonicHeroX45)
- Fixed and updated several oddities related to playing through Personalization Palace in a Netgame Server.
(done by SlainLBS)
That's all for now. Later, and thank you to those who helped with this patch!
This is it. The culmination of it all.
I couldn't decide on one particular name for this update, so you got two of them. There's also a ton to unpack here, including secrets and spoilers for added content. However, it would be wrong of me to do so without giving y'all a fair amount of time to check it all out for yourselves.
Instead, what you'll receive here is a barebones changelog, covering the TL;DR of the update's contents. If you enjoyed this experience when it first released within Round 1 of the 2024 OLDC, I would highly recommend you check it out again here, as it is indeed a "complete," or "definitive" re-release.
- There are now 46 Stars to collect in the map.
- The Volcano Lobby has received a major update.
- A new lobby, the Extra Lobby, has been added, featuring its own unique stages and areas.
- Other new stages and areas have been added as well.
- Other revisions have been made all throughout the map to various degrees.
I had a lot of fun working on Personalization Palace, from the original release back in Round 1 of the 2024 OLDC, to this "final" release now, fulfilling most if not everything I wanted to do with it while also trying out new ideas and concepts for later projects. I really hope you all enjoy it.
Thank you all so much for your continued support, whether it's simply saying you like my stuff, or helping me make it better for other people.
I ain't going anywhere, and that won't be changing anytime soon.
Until then, Lucas.
Personalization Palace, was in fact, not finished.
However, this isn't a particularly sizeable content update. It's a patch of impulsive refinements that I declared as needed to be done upon replaying the map earlier today.
Very little has changed within the map itself, as most of the changes went into the LUA files that really make the map work.
Regardless, it is still AN update, so here's the Changelog:
- All 27 Stars within the map should now be collectable as the Vanilla cast without using Cheats.
However, the Chaos Emeralds still become available upon collecting 25 of them due to some characters potentially having issues with the rest.
- PV (Personalization Value) requirements for most in-map events have been decreased significantly.
We never actually brought them down upon updating the map for the standalone release outside of the OLDC, resulting in some events being near impossible to trigger without constantly resetting the map via Pause Menu to allow for more "farming" since you cannot play the other OLDC stages. Still, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to do so unless you're ready to face the consequences.
- Minor edits to the map have been made. There are no new areas, only edits to a few existing ones.
- Changed some of the Console Messages you may receive upon the reloading the map or meeting with a terrible fate.
That's about it. I don't think this update warrants a complete replay of the whole thing if you have already done so, but maybe you can now screw around and find out some of the niche stuff you might've been missing out on. See ya later~! :3c
