Yes, you remember this big boy on Kart from 4 years ago? No? That's unfortunate! because he has a story behind (which I don't remember at all lol). Anyways, after 1 year of development, the big wolf, Nick WolfFang is finally out for SRB2. Can blast through all kinds of obstacles with his powerful melee attacks and a versatile moveset!

Made for speed running potential if you're technical enough.

Abilities

nicotine2.png
  • Wolf Buster: Press Spin after a jump. Thrust fowards increasing your speed. has a slowfall effect depending how fast you go (whirlwind shield gives a strong effect). if you're past your normal speed, it transfers all your momentum at where you aim, like Thok. Powers up the character at high speeds (breaks spikes, powers up springs, etc.)

- If you hit a wall with Wolf Buster, bounces upwards depending of your speed.

- If you jump while Wolf Buster, you're able to perform a Second Jump, also able to perform it after you bounced to a wall. Ideal for recoveries.

  • Slide: Your main spin ability, your best friend for short/spin gaps. Hold Spin Button on ground to perform a slide. Powers up the player if going fast with it (when the zooming vfx pops up or the after images). Jump while sliding performs a rolling jump!

  • Sprint: Want a little boost on ground or dodge something quick? this is your option. Press C1 on ground to perform a Sprint/Dash. Useful to power up slide.

You're not able to perform any ability on air with sprint so better be wise when using it and don't fall out from a cliff with sprint lol.

  • Homing Kick: Your main Jump Ability, attack all the enemies with your kicks. But beware, when you're off-homing (aka. when you're spinning on the air after attacking an enemy), you have a time limit to strike another attack! so be quick to attack the enemies.

  • Double tap Toss flag button: OOOOMAGAWD (cut)
    srb20132.gif
  • Toss Flag + Fire Normal: Counter Stance

  • Fire Normal: Sit

Customization? for an Official Character? yes I allow that. use nick_menu to open Nick's customization menu. You can bind it to a key if you want with the "bind" command. You can operate this menu with your mouse only.

srb20135.gif

What does it include?

  • Looking head: when enabled, your head moves when looking upwards or downwards with your camera. only works if you're standing still. (This option saves)
  • Clone Fighter: toggles clonefighter colors like Fang and Metal Sonic bosses do. (This option does not save)
  • Legacy Colors: Toggle legacy colors, reference to Nick's old design from 2016-2017. Preserving history! (this option saves)
  • Set powers color: Set Nick's powers color like Wolf Buster, Slide afterimages and other effects. (This option saves)

  • Reset to defaults: Resets all your customization settings.
You can't operate the menu? that's unfortunate since that's the cool thing! but I understand that people without mouse or android players exists. So here's an alternative: use the command nick_help for a list of commands. basically the same as in the menu.

Maybe it's just the fact that I'm so used to SRB2's physics, but he was quite fast for me to master. Not that that's a bad thing, not at all! Deep Sea, especially Act 2, and Red Volcano were so damn fun with Nick, it's like he was made for them, and I've never had such an elegant playthrough with those levels (outside of maybe Echoes) I have no notes, amazing character.

Ayeeeee I tested this guy!

While pretty simple, he's a surprisingly versatile little wolf. If you chain your busters correctly, you can get some SERIOUS speed! He can be a little unforgiving at times, and some moves (like sprint) barely get any love (at least on my part), but things will improve overtime.

Give him a try, or add him to whathever randomizer you have going. He's very lightweight so you'll barely get any performance losses with him!
And... You bet I'm waiting for that there battle support. They'll know his name.
