An aseprite extension for drawing, previewing and exporting racers for Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers.

Prerequisites
Installation
  1. Grab the latest release.
  2. Double-click on the kart-builder.aseprite-extension to install it.
For alternate installation methods, consult the aseprite documentation.

Exporting
  1. Open File > Export > Export Kart to open the Export Kart dialog.
  2. Click [...] in the lower-right and specify an output path.
  3. Click Save to write a *.pk3 to that location.
Editing

Kart Builder uses a special *.ase file as your workspace. This file contains all of the layers, animations and S_SKIN properties of your add-on. Sounds should be *.ogg files kept next to your *.ase file or in a subfolder like sounds/*.ogg. An example template is provided in examples/example.ase.

This Aseprite tool is just absolutely phenomenal, even without all of its features at this time, it does the job well! It made making characters such a breeze and as someone who haven't spriting work to an extent, I can't recommend this enough. Its quality of life features is such a blessing.

Nice! the color feature is probably my favorite part. i think an srb2 version of this could be pretty neat

honestly worth installing for live colour previews alone, that feature is WILDLY convenient even when not using the intended setup.

Didn't think my workflow for making characters could get any easier, the palette swapping feature alone does a tonne in helping visualize how the characters going to look instead of operating on charts and hoping for the best.

this is awesome!, it looksreal promising, so i'm looking foward to this, also, a small recomendation, you should probably make the color "default" the the sprite had for blending before changing the color, cuz for example not every character has the green for blending as default, mine has the red line, not the red color, the line of the pallete that's dedicated to thecolor red, cuz i was using the color green for his clothes, so, yeah there's that

This tool is seriously such a game changer, its ease of use is incredible! I know its still getting updated at the moment but I'm already really enjoying what it has to offer so far. If you use Aseprite for making your racers I seriously recommend getting this!! Thanks for developing this DragonDePlatino!! Seriously so cool!
