[WIP] Heavy Weapons Guy & Friends: A Team Fortress 2 Pack

[Open Assets] [WIP] Heavy Weapons Guy & Friends: A Team Fortress 2 Pack V4

Forgot to change the version number of the individual pack.
The long awaited Engineer update.

I would like to apologize for releasing this late. You were probably expecting monthly updates containing a new racer, and I don't blame you. I was hoping this would be the case, but life and procrastination made it hard to deliver on time. But anyways, here's the hardhatted Texan boi I said I was working on, plus a few tweaks to the other racers.

  • Added the Engineer.
  • Fixed the paintable regions of each racer so there is less jarring contrast between the darker and brightly-colored areas.
  • Added a new "hitconfirm" voiceline for the Scout. Now he will own you.
  • Added a new "slow" voiceline for the Demoman. He now talks with drunken slurred speech 'cause it's more in-character, and it's funnier.
  • Tweaked the "hurt2" voicelines of each racer to add a slightly longer pause between the pain sounds and the response after, taking notes from AoStH Robotnik.
  • Cool!
Reactions: *GOOFYRAT!*
  • Added Heavy as a rival for Demoman.
No, not that Heavy update.

This is a major-ish update meant to significantly improve the already existing content at the time of writing, most importantly the Heavy's sprites, as well as provide an overdue fix to some glaring issues. Sadly, no new racers this time, but I'll start working on the next one this month.
  • Added a brand-new spritesheet for the Heavy, with less crust, no misplaxed pixels, and improved lighting now consistent with those of the other characters.

  • Changed the Heavy's engine class from H to G, with same weight but a speed of 1, because it would be a crime not to make him a reskin of the other Heavy.
  • Added a zip file containing each racer individually, including the previous H class version of the Heavy
  • Added new "lose" and/or "win" voicelines for the Heavy, Scout, and Demoman.
  • Added new signposts for each racer.
  • Rearranged the glance/drift sprites for the Scout and Demoman. It took me an embarassingly long time to realize your character isn't supposed to look backwards while drifting.
  • Fixed the Scout's sprites having pixels from the 112-119 color range, leading to static, lime-green pixels that look out of place. Even in Ring Racers, I'm haunted by those annoying lime scouts.
  • Moved all characters into a single pk3 file for efficiency.
  • Edited each characters' rivals arrays to include all current TF2 characters and some stand-ins for unreleased mercs.
After days of grueling trial-and-error, the black scottish cyclops is finally here!
  • Added the Demoman.
  • For rivals:
    • Added Demoman as rival for the Heavy and Scout.
    • For Heavy and Scout, added Bean as a stand-in for Demoman.
    • Removed Eggman from "rivals" array of each character's properties. I intended him to be a stand-in for Gray Mann, but I remembered that you don't actually face him in TF2 gameplay.
  • Added new hurt2.ogg sound file for the Heavy. Hitting him with a banana is not funny, guys. Don't laugh at him.
  • Added Scout as the primary rival for Heavy.
  • Replaced the hurt1 sound file file for Heavy with a much more intense one, like with Scout. Now whenever Heavy gets hit with an item or hazard, it'll sound like you just killed the living s--- out of him with a crit.
First it was an individual character addon. Now it's a pack!
  • Added the Scout as a new playable character.
Changed name property "heavy" to "heavyweaponsguy", so the game doesn't confuse the TF2 Heavy with the other Heavy from Knuckles' Chaotix.
  • Fixed off-colored pixels of the clockwise north-facing "glance/drift" sprite.
