Diamond-Pack 2026-09-01

After being in development hell for 2 in a half years, I finally present Diamond-Pack Version 4! This is a rather big update as it features new stuff to the table.

Spoiler: Version 4 Patchnotes

• restructured the pack in its entirety.
• Rename Category name to 'diamond-king' to 'diamond-pack'.
• Falcon is (finally) here!
• Gang Beast, Diamond-Pack's Old Logo, Dani, King DaDileDingo, Snake Man 1/7, 5 Second to live, Cheese Burger & Lil' Can are here as followers!
• Duo has got a facelift (as in a resprite)!
• New original Color: Diamond!
• 4x4 Lego Brick got respited!
• Fixed the Follower icon (old icon is unused).
• I'm sorry for the long delay.

None issues:
Falcon has no death pose (yet)
Dani uses sonic win quote (it does have it own sound, both of these will be replaced in the future)

Also, I also made all the previous version of my stuff in a separate file in case you want to play an old version of my characters. And thanks for 1200 downloads so far! I can't thank ya'll enough to see my work being played by others. Oh and...

By the way, it also comes with an individual zip file in case you just want a specific character/follower.

I found out that my packs MODINFO had an error in which the Description field didn't have a "," at the end. That was the reason why my pack kept crashing the game!

On another note, Follower Compiling is almost done, if you saw the latest updates edit, I'm about say 30% ways of being complete. Stay tuned for the full update!

Edit: It is done!

A little preview of what is coming up with the 3.0.21 update of this pack. The first 5 Followers have recompiled; the rest will follow suit.

Edit: Because alot of other mod creators are going to release future updates to their pack for the 2.4 release, I will also publish 3.0.21 as well. It should give enough time to make the future characters and followers.
Edit 2: little bit of an update; recompiling is almost done, I got a few more followers to re-add then onto creating the racers! I also found out that 2.4 is almost here, so I might get into making new racers for the full update next year or maybe next month, but who knows?

Since the 3.0.2 update of this pack is broken, I'm going to recompile it so the crash doesn't happen again. that's a my bad in my part. All the characters are re-added and the 2.4 stuff is there too, recompiling shouldn't take too long.

I found out by myself today that Hit the Spot was clashing with another Follower in the game apparently. To counteract this, I renamed Hit the Spot to simply "The Spot".

I have rebranded this pack to Diamond-Pack, as Diamond-King's Ring Racers Character Pack was a mouthful to say. New characters will come out in a later updates. and I been keeping this update for while out of the limelight, until today I said "Screw it".

Anyways, here is what's new:
* Added Eggman's so mad, Goomba FU, AI Plankton, Steven, MEDIC GAMING, Brombus, Booba Cube, WhatsApp, Hit the Spot & 4x4 Lego Brick.
* Happy Meal's sprites have been updated.
* Dee Bee Kaw changes:
* He now has a Silly signpost!
* His spin out sprites have been inproved.
* New Dead sprite!
* Second Coming now has proper noises!
* The colors have been transferred over to LUA, now online compatable!
* zskins was renamed to simply skins.
* Replaced Khonjin's Hurt 2, Attack 2 & Slow voicelines.
* Shortened Hurt 2 & Attack 2
* Replace Contestant number 1 with Have you're husband ever made love.
* Condimate Bottle's color was changed from Red to Mustard.
* Fixed Khonjin A2&8 frames having hard to see black if you have on certain colors.

Last month, my SRB2Kart pack turned a year old (on July 18th, 2024)! So I'll talk about it: The pack was published first at Gamebanana which only had 2 characters being Cary & Newbie as they I was just experimenting and was probably got to0 ambitious for having 13 characters all that was handpicked by me.

But sadly, I cancelled it... But then I revived it with my Ring Racers pack (this pack you are viewing)! The message board version came after and took two whole attempts to get the pack submitted at the MB.

Back then, I wasn't the most excellent sprite artist in the past. But now I can definitely say that I'm more intermediate with the craft.

Okay where do we start?

Spoiler: from 1.1 to 2.2 (have a nice read 🙂)

* Newbie has been added.
* Cary & DBK's sprites have been updated;
* Cary had some stray light blue and is now removed.
* DeeBeeKaw's foot in his side-front sprites had his right foot clipping through the tire.
* Cary's voice was made a bit louder.
* Added 12 Custom Colors.
* Changed Sumo Sweetie's Color entirely.
* Cary rivals are changed; his rivals are Match, Marker & Ruby.
* Load in the Battle for Kart Island add-on pack.
* Added a 'Who are rivals to who?.txt' (inside the PK3).
* Added Duo the Bird.
* Adjusted Cary's silly signpost.
* Duolingo (the color)'s INVCOLOR was changed from Turtle > Pinetree.
* Cary's Glance Right (drifting side/front) sprites STILL had some stray blues, I guess I didn't double check his sprites just to be sure. The blue is FULLY removed.
* Added the star of Wave 2: Khonjin!
* Added 5 exclusive Followers: Condimate Bottle, Happy Meal, Helicopter Emoji, Gino Fratelli & Khonjin Logo.
* Removed a line of code in Duo's SKIN def to not play an non-existant sound in his file (being Hurt 2).
* Gino's preferred color was changed from Silver > Grey. To be consistant with Khonjin.
* Khonjin Logo has been updated.
* Added Punk.
* Added Jotaro but really really fast.

After about 3 months, this pack is FINALLY HERE (as I teased it in my Paintjobs pack with the latest version). I submitted the pack way back in May and by then I was updating it over at Gamebanana from time to time!
also 3.0 will be a huge update, so it may take a bit to be finished.
