X Sonic v1.1c

SO MUCH FOR NOT WANTING TO TAKE THIS FURTHER THERE IS NOT A SINGLE GAME I EVER HEARD IT CALLED A MOMENTUM ROLL
Pretty sure she's talking about what you call X Sonic's "Drop Dash". Calm down and realize that she's clearly talking about two different things. A Drop Dash, and a Momentum Roll. We've established the origin of the Drop Dash, so we know what it is. However, she mentions a new concept, a Momentum Roll. Nobody has brought it up before, but X Sonic's "Drop Dash" being an actual Drop Dash has been contested, so "Momentum Roll" seems to be referring to X Sonic's move as something different entirely.

I do agree with her as calling it a Drop Dash is very generous. Drop Dashes give substantial amounts of speed while X Sonic's move kind of just allows you to redirect speed you already have as far as I can tell. If it adds extra speed, it's an incredibly marginal amount.

You also can't do it from a standstill. One of the best use cases for the Drop Dash (in classic games, at least) is going from completely idle to a fast pace in a snap, while any speed from X Sonic's "Momentum Roll" is speed you pretty much already had from his ground movement.

2.to be fair theres literally no name for just running then holding down mid air to use your momentum to roll:worry:
Never in my life was it called a momentum roll you made that up becasue you are probably 3 years old. As long as its in the air and falls to the ground DROPPING to a DASH. Look at that its a DROP DASH

She actually denied calling it drop dash, im the one calling it drop dash

Yes, it does add extra speed. And yes, it's an incredibly marginal amount.

To be specific, you're required to hold any directional button before you land in order to use this move. So with good timing you can technically do it from a standstill (although the result isn't really worth it).

Also as far as I'm aware the longer you charge the Drop Dash before landing the faster you dash once you do land (although the maximum charge is achieved in a very short time). X Sonic's move on the other hand gives you a fixed (negligible) amount of speed no matter how long you hold the Spin button.

It's not about that, it's the fact I say one thing then a whole bunch of nut jobs start arguing, if they think its wrong there is no need to alert the whole population
i don't get how that's bad though, and they aren't "alerting the whole population".
