Get one of these things and use them to format your hard drive, then reinstall your operating system. No need to buy a new computer!
- Linux Live CD/DVD/USB. Ubuntu, Kanotix, ... work well.
- A floppy disk (if your computer has a floppy drive^^) with DOS (FreeDOS, MS-DOS, ...). If you have no floppy drive, use a live CD.
- Your Windows installation CD, if you use Windows.
- There are more possibilities.
If you have no second computer to get/make one of these things, ask an friend.
You said that you "killed" the old computer. Try to use one of the things above to "reanimate" it. Then you have two computers you can use.
I really hope you did not physically destroy the computer... xD
