Unable to get online play

Well, I've tried various times, and everytime I try to get on Multiplayer, I can't get online. I don't know if I missed a master server update or if it changed, and I even tried downloading 1.09.4 again. But nothing. All that shows up is a bunch of strange and random numbers and letters. Can someone help me? First, by starting off with the master server number.

You might of got caught in a ban range, check your ip.

I got it to work when I re-downloaded. So they're must be something wrong with a WAD file in my previous folder.
