Alright first, I was despritly bored and so I made this. It's the Torn World from the Pokemon Platinum game. Nothing special just three regular levels and 1 super level. I also made a custom boss and I think you know who it is. Plus, I also edited the title screen for a little expiriment and it sucessfuly worked.
Levels:
Spear Pillar (75%)

Torn World 1 (0%)

Torn World 2 (50%) Heres a video link to a video:

Torn World 3 (0%)

Giritina Boss (25%)

So, give me some pointers, tips, or concerns about this. If someone can find some PokePlatinum muisc like the torn world. Leave a link down below

I had to search for it on youtube and I found it and that level was to flat and has to many rings, but don't get me started about the boss, It is S-U-C-K-I-S-H, it looks like you ripped out one sprite of giratina and changed all the eggman sprites to that sprite, how long did the level take you to make? why didn't you start with Torn World 1?

Okay, my plans for the boss is to animate it and not just a 1 frame and make some more textures and some gravity flip places. I'll try to make TW2 look and have the same diffculty of the MRZ.

Well, now you know how it feels to be bashed. I do sort of agree, it would be an improvement if you added some platforms or something, and gave the boss more animation. However, while, the idea of the final boss as Super Sonic is not exactly original, I congratulate you for being able to do it in SRB2.

True, but that was only once. Anyway, it's okay for a start, but it definitely could use some improvement.

Well, I got 3 weeks of Spring Break to work on this and I might add some more stuff to TW2 & make the boss actully move and have a special patern. And I will start on TW1 this afternoon (EST).

Well, I have to say, nice job on taking a shot at making your own levels, Larztard. I can't say the level is very good at all, but hey, you're trying again, and that merits some approval anyways.

Obviously there's a number of problems with this though, and nothing really good about it:
#1: For the most part, you just made a level entirely out of sky, and that get's boring fast. Not to mention it is really not very creative in the first place.
#2: An overload of rings, which aren't used for hardly anything but to show the way through the level. Not really a good waymarker idea.
#3: A horrible spriteswap at the end. I don't recommend spriteswaps in the first place, as they are more cheesy than creative.

I'm gonna say that if you want to design levels, you should probably start out with a simple single player stage, something to get a hang of level designing on before you try anything crazy.

Well, this project I have spent more time on than anyother project I've worked on (like Doomsday Run). But, the title screen and the custom boss were both 'sucessful expirements' (quoted for no reason). But I am making more to TW2, SP, and the boss as of right now.

I highly recommend you practice before you start a pack. If your first wad is a pack level, you can be sure it will be bad.
I started a mod, Temporal Line. While I had already made 3-4 wads. But I canceled it FOR THE MOMENT because I wanted to make a awesome wad. So I will train in all types of environments, including style Egg Rock.

In short, your level ... I've seen almost nothing. These are only walls. Rings : copy and paste. And finally, the boss has a single sprite, and it is bad ...

This is not good. You should start by performing at least one level in the release section. If you do that, you have already planted the roots, and you know the basics of building level.
With these basics, you begin to have for already having a level head presentable, even a simple level that players will like. But do not start your FIRST LEVEL EVER by a pack that contains advanced data (sprites, graphics, etc.).
Make first a simple level before starting this.

Oh wow...

Well, I have no idea what to say about this, other than the fact that your level literally consists of nothing. Your boss is no where near "custom" other than a random Pokemon being slapped on there. Pretty much everything else has no relation to Pokemon whatsoever.

Please add some variety into your levels (or better yet, put on some ACTUAL TEXTURES). You should check out the tutorials here:

http://wiki.srb2.org/wiki/SRB2_Doombuilder_Tutorial

This pretty much gives you all of the basics in making maps. Please read it carefully and do what it says, it could help you A LOT in making real levels.
