If you didn't know, the SRB2 GameBanana exists. It's like the Message Boards that you're on right now, but much worse.

Poor quality mods are very much allowed there. For example, All Emeralds Lua Code. All Emeralds Lua Code is what none of us wanted to happen.

That this page exists has been known for a long time. In general, many in the community are content with just ignoring what is there as long as there is no stolen content. It used to be a place (under the old guard) where mappers might upload their content if their addon was rejected by the judges.

SRB2 is under the GPL, so there is no enforceable rule stating that everyone must go through addons & more to upload and download content.
