90% of all Sonic fan characters will be "included" in SSBB for the very reason that there are multiple colors for every character.

Tails has a slight chance on becoming an unlockable player, or as an assist trophy.

I'm only assuming this because Luigi is Mario's partner and he has been an unlockable player on both Smash Bros.

Unfortunately none of the Nintendo staff have made contact with Naoto Ohshima and Yuji Naka (Creators of Sonic)

Yuji Naka no longer works with Sonic Team, and as you probably all already know since this is so old and I haven't read any further, but Sonic is playable, confirmed through a very reliable source of mine, But yet unconfirmed is that any other of the crew is, because of the fact he IS a third party character, he may not have any of the crew with him, But these colors are confirmed

1. Standard

2. Red

3. Green

4. Yellow

Also by my source, which by chance is NOT the dojo, so bite me, just on the character note again, the chances ofanymore of his series being added is low because of the said reason, and I have reason to believe it as if you look at previous games like even Ness, he never got an ally from his game, until now, and he has been in every game, Pokemon have also always been in game, and even to I finding strange they add a trainer here, I dont know whats going on inside these dudes heads, but my source DOES!
