Sorry, as I'm not sure this is exactly on-topic with the thread, but the old world forum rules that are nailed into my head require me to ask in an existing thread rather than make a new one where I sound potentially crazy-
Does anyone remember a build or .wad of SRB2 that would modify the game (specially GFZ 3 and maybe 2?) to have some sort of "nightmare" mode? I know this sounds like creepypasta garbage but I very distinctly remember there being some secret that would turn the sky red during the first boss, and I believe also gave it a much faster attack pattern. I want to say that this somehow involved the red brick house on GFZ 1 or the red roller bug on GFZ 2 but my memory of it is much too hazy to clarify many more details - for context, I played this game as a kid on and off from like 2008 - 2011, so it would've existed some time then. I haven't been able to find any details of anything like this existing online so I figured I'd just shoot it out on this forum in hopes someone can validate the reason my 9/10-ish year old self stopped playing after GFZ 2.
