you can go into slade ( if you are trying to use already existing sprites ) select the chosen ones, and import to png, copy and paste, it will be come an image, so you can edit it in paint or whatever

SLADE is able to convert images in and out of the .lmp format, one can export a sprite as a .png and export it in any program of their choosing.
This also works the other way around, importing a .png into slade and converting it into an .lmp with the appropriate palette!

I don't think Slade can handle "imp" files. Unless you meant LMP.
