Sonic Robo Blast 2 recreation on the Sega 32X

I once said the same thing about a hypothetical srb2 port for PSX

Here it's the same thing, only the console would be dying trying to run the srb2 code

Who done?
SSNTails and someone else. (I’m not exactly sure who it is)

It’s using a custom optimized engine specifically for the 32X.
If I had to guess from the blurry footage at the end, it seems to be running at around 20fps.

AWESOME!

Clean rip of the title screen theme along with better footage of the title screen itself.

Woohoo!

GFZ1's music was released!

GFZ2 and the boss theme have been released now, too.
The boss theme video even has blurred footage of gameplay against the GFZ3 boss!
It's safe to say SSNTails is posting a new video roughly every 3 days.

According to this video:
It seems to suggest Saxman (the Rom Hacker Veteran) is the other developer on this SRB2 32X Recreation. Not the 1st time they worked together, they also worked on the famous Sonic Doom II mod back in 1998.

HOHO WOW WE'VE GOT A DEMO

I of dreamed about srb2 for sega 32X
But I don't knew what it's possible
But also watch to see other levels
I remember 10 fps on CEZ2 and ACZ2
But plays srb2 on sega been cool
Plus new thok replace looks interesting
Gotta wait full version!

I tried to play it on OpenEmu and it didn't work :devastation: :devastation: :devastation: :devastation: :devastation: :devastation: :devastation: :devastation: though from the gameplay I saw it's peak

According to the site, and video descriptions, It can run on real hardware, and the Kega Fusion emulator. I attempted to see if it could run on Picodrive for RetroArch. It ran technically speaking, but with major lag and frame skipping, and for some reason, the timer jumped up entire minutes.

If only 32x emulators had more development in the emulation scene. Kega's last update was in 2010!!! It is the most accurate yes, but it's age shows through quite a bit.

I got myself to the second Special Stage!

And I found an Easter Egg in GFZ 2!

I'm curious what Special Stage 3 is like, and whether there's any more.
It'd be neat if the special stages were in the level select (plus any other potential stages), although I guess you're meant to discover them.

Also, I found a FOF in the first Special Stage. I had assumed that they weren't in the game for technical reasons, though perhaps they're just omitted in most stages for performance reasons?

I've already made a video. And it's possible to go through more of them. I wasted my time doing that for 7 hours, since the controls in this are a bit stiff throughout the demo (I mean, doesn't affect the whole game in general. I still wanted to point it out though). It's around 15:49 in the bonus section btw.

Imagine going back in time to 1996 and showing this to a sega saturn kid. it would blow their minds on a nuclear level.
