It'd be very, very out-of-place for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to come out 12+ years AFTER Sonic the Hedgehog 3, WITH only a jillion canon titles tossed inbetween. Stop hoping for it, it won't happen.

Nintendo is making a new Super Mario Bros. game for the DS
But that's not called SMB5.

By five I didn't mean an actual COUNT of the titles but the title itself, hotdog... :P

Regardless, it's fixed now, no misinterpretations.

In case you're wondering, I was saying Sonic CD wouldn't be rereleased so it would be. Sorry, but that's the kind of logic I use to figure out these things...

Sonic CD was announced for Gamecube today BTW

Give me a source, or I will stab you with...something very pointy.

...sharp, too. It would, like, totally hurt.

Is the Sonic R port based off the PC or Saturn version? I see weather effects in there...

And jeez... why don't they draw artwork in the style of the old Sonic games their promoting?

Well, you just answered your own question, didn't you? Only the PC version had weather effects.

The weather effects didn't look right, so I had doubts. But yeah, I guess it is the PC version. The entire list was confirmed btw. The 3 games we mentioned plus 6... *snickers*... gamegear games...

I'm rather disappointed...

Yeesh, I don't understand some people in this fandom. It seems like everytime Sega announces something, they can ONLY disappoint people...

Now, granted, with Shadow that's understandable since that's a complete malformation of everything Sonic, but rereleasing a whole bunch of games that nobody got to play hardly seems that bad. Heck, even the new 2D Sonic seems kinda interesting, but the first thing people do is complain about how ugly the models are and how Blaze sucks and all that crap, without even bothering to consider the good sides about it (I mean, it's a new 2D platformer, and the two separate players don't share levels except for the rare crossing-paths, which means the levels are probably tailored to their separate skills - isn't THAT something good?)...

Egh. I'll just never understand us sometimes.

I just disappointed; I don't hate the game. I'm not really a Sonic fan anyways, as I like only a few of his games. Just angry that Sega's too lazy to put in some more rare Sonic games so they put in already rereleased gamegear games in their place.

Fair enough, it wasn't a jab at you in particular anyway.

Anyway, sicne Game Gear games don't take up much space but Saturn/PC games WOULD, I think there really wouldn't be much space for much else.

All the Genesis ROMs would take up about 10 MB, max. They really should include all of Mega Collection, seriously. It's not like it's a lot of space it takes up ^_^()

As far as I know, the limit of the RAM of the MegaDrive is 4MB.

Hovewer... The 2D games of Sonic are better than the others... Well... The Japanses games of Sonic are better that the games of the Americans or Europeans... Really... They have the best ideas (and the best games can't be sold out of Japan :().

ROM. RAM wouldn't matter because that's hardware, not software.

No, the internal RAM that can be used... One of the hacking utilities that I have says that I can't create ROMs greather than 4MB because it exceeds the RAM limit...
