Why can't I transform
Shield button mid-jump. It'll be like that in vanilla 2.2.14 as well so this mod inherits it.

Older versions of Reveries used the fire button for transform before an official alternate button was added, so note that sol forms still use the fire button for the time being. I'm planning on addressing that in the RushChars 1.4 patch because I'll need to modify the behaviour for vanilla to no longer use spin anyways.
 
Memory allocation crash happens only in gaming mode on steam deck it runs just fine in desktop mode hope this is the right file

After a while, I've kind of turned around on the changes to the character movesets. They're pretty alright. The natural deceleration is still WAY too high for my liking tho. Its super hard to control your speed.
 
Hi! I have a question, what did you use for compiling Reveries on steam deck. If the answer is srb2bld, which compiling flags are recomended?

The easiest method to install on Steam Deck is via the official flatpak: https://flathub.org/apps/io.github.srb2.rphys

If you actually want to compile it, the method I use is the one documented on the wiki here: https://wiki.srb2.org/wiki/Source_code_compiling/Makefiles

I don't own a Steam Deck myself, just a linux user on pc, so I don't know how well if it at all the above method works on the Deck. SRB2BLD may be a better option but I've never used it so I can't say.

Both, though there will only be minor differences in the control feel if you're a keyboard player. The big new feature besides the analogue stick stuff will be allowing Super form to benefit more from power ups, so you'll be able to use shield abilities and stack speedshoes on top of Super.
Will the steam deck gamemode memory leak be fixed in this update or is that still being worked on?
It is fixed, yes. I'm currently targeting a release on December 1st, because that's my birthday, but I'm also planning on updating the android version this time and still need to do that so we will see.

I was going to say it's hard to turn at high speeds so I hope sonic can tightly turn if the supersneakers and super form stack. Also happy birthday, I've seen others say that so I'd thought I should wish you a happy birthday aswell.

I'm not a dev, but from my perspective as a contributor I think 2.2.14 is pretty close to a stable release, but it depends when a dev or contributor gets around to fixing the remaining few minor issues. It will most likely not come out before the Reveries update, but I think that its current codebase is close enough to stable that I can just base off current next and update the codebase to 2.2.14 proper later.

The android port is still kinda broken though, so that may present a problem. But I suppose using it would be better than not updating the android version at all.

Characters were given a small handling boost that should help when turning at high speeds - from my current draft of the changelog, that's part of the "minor control differences" I mentioned earlier. Turning ability will be better in general, except on ice where it shall be the same, because ice isn't nice.

Final Reveries, Version 1

I got tired of waiting for 2.2.14 to officially come out to release this, so here's the final major update of Reveries. Expect more minor updates. Due to this, all future versions will be prefixed with F (final), followed by the release number.

Note: there is an Android build included in the downloads this time. Be warned that it is extremely unstable and may not even run on your device.

Changelog:
  • Better analogue stick movement
    • No more walking in place at low tilt...

Well anyway I might add that I got hit by every jettysyn in Christmas chime zone because I’m so used to Drill killing the enemies.

I assume the level select is just either an oversight or a debug thing.

Idk if there was anything else I left out of the review I didn’t really talk about sonic tails and knuckles because they feel right at home and idk if I have any criticisms or suggestions to make of them.

The drill thing is definitely a bug, it only happens to Sonic. Everyone else can still drill kill. I'll fix it in the upcoming hotfix.

I think the level select is a 2.2.14 change? It automatically unlocks itself if you enable cheats.

Pretty sure this one is a longstanding vanilla problem that also happens in record attack.
