I figured I could try race maps again, so here's my attempt:

I don't have much to say about it, but I wouldn't recommend Knuckles. Sonic and Tails are both fine, though.

A few things here:

It's very dark. I get that it was supposed to be one of the themes or something (dark, abandoned factory or whatnot), but I found myself having to squint throughout the whole thing, which I don't think is a good thing.

The drop is a bit strange. After a few tries I was able to memorize which direction to go, but regardless the conveyance is rather bad in my opinion.

It was okay I guess, it didn't feel very unique in terms of gimmicks and whatnot, but I suppose that's fair since it's among your first few levels.
