Invalid Modified game despite none being enabled

So, i finally beat the game and i was watching the credits, when i was finally done i got the try again screen (because i didnt collect that many tokens), but just then, “Modified games cant unlock extras”
I had no modifiers or addons enabled, i had them, but they werent enabled, but when went back to the title screen i tried making a new save and it gave me the same text as you would get in a modified game, once again, No modifiers or addons were enabled
And the save file i completed it in was reverted back to egg rock zone act 2
Any ideas as to what happened?

If I'm reading this correctly, you are saying you added addons but did not use them. If that is so, the game still counts it as modified depending on what you added (If it was a music-only pack it wouldn't count as modified unless something like text/lua was in there). Reset your game, and do not add any addons if you want it to save your progress.

They were saying they had them, but they didn't enable them. That sounds to me like the mods were installed, but they didn't use the addon menu or console to activate them. As such, the game should have still been vanilla.

If that's the case, the only thing I can think of is that you used some sort of console command while playing that tripped the "modified game" flag. Otherwise, I'm not sure what else could cause this.

Did you use a command like "Objectplace" or "devmode" or "god"? If you remember you used a command (not only those, some others count too) try to remember and tell us

I think i used objectplace in a nosave before starting up the near completed save

are you sure you didnt set something to automatically load and then forgot? when in game do listwad to see a list of currently loaded files. In theory it should just be the main srb2 ones

this might be the case since

Using objectplace, noclip, god, devmode, and several other commands marks the game as modified. You must restart SRB2 to save games again. This is (currently) the intended behavior.
