Modernly Heroic & Sonic Boom MD2s

[TheDoctor]

This is a model of Sonic Heroes, ported to SRB2 and edited by me to look more like Modern Sonic. This Sonic md2 has modern animations, and even has Sonic Lost World "wall run" animations when using Knuckles' wall climb ability.

A second model is in the pack which is an edit of ModernlyHeroic to look like Sonic from Sonic Boom, an upcoming Sonic game.

These models were not made to be compatible with jack jims (or anyone's) monitor md2s, or goal md2s, so only 34 farmer were made.

Awkward... what version are you using it in? I've been there in CB with a different Sonic wad assigned to it and that was never there...

Yes, but even I improvise by, for example, having the character's head for 1up box, and having a pose for the end sign instead of an actual sign. Not to mention there isn't really an excuse for the hurt anims, unless they're supposed to be like that.

Any MD2 model I use that has no life icon and sign in CB keep the sprites for them, but SRB2 just reads the next frame, which would be the first two (standing and wait 1) frames for life box because it repeats through the animations after finishing, then wait 2 for icon when box is popped, then walk frame 1 for sign..

Hmm... I guess i never noticed because I never successfully assigned an MD2 for vanilla.

Maybe that second model was a beta version, and maybe when he had finished the Modernly Sonic MD2 he just put the sonic boom design there as a shortcut to make a sonic boom model.

Well this one looks far worse than the one he showed off before it was released.

Well, if it looks much better then yes. The one he showed off first looked much, much better. Not to mention this sonic's skin is puke greenish yellow and his mouth seems...off.

Well I can definitly confirm its the right model, but maybe I accidently uploaded an earlier test/beta, because a comparison between mine and yours...

By reading this, I tried to make the fur/muzzel look less like banana, and here is the result (updated left, old right):



And my computer is all wibbly wobbly, and sometimes could only upload certain stuff, mainly pictures, but sometimes larger files are not able to upload. I was lucky last week to upload modernlyheroic.md2 and this however.

I see NO difference. They both look exactly the same apart from the updated one having a darker blue. The skin still looks puke yellow. Look at official art:
