it's weird that the level mario is in srb2 but not mario?
There are obvious reasons why we can't add Mario to SRB2.it's weird that the level mario is in srb2 but not mario?
It's literally just an Easter Egg level. There's no point in adding Mario to a game based around Sonic. That's what the modding community is forit's weird that the level mario is in srb2 but not mario?
I get that but note that there's a mod that has both Mario and Luigi (Plus Paper mario remake thats coming soon) If you want add the mod and play the zoneit's weird that the level mario is in srb2 but not mario?
That's the reason but then what about the entire zone? There are goombas and blocks from the game as well.If Mario was in the game, the Nintendo ninjas would have the game erased from existence
You realize its a joke, right? That's the reason but then what about the entire zone? There are goombas and blocks from the game as well.
I am serious, Mario being in SRB2 would bring a Cease and Desist from Nintendo. You realize its a joke, right?
by that logic, srb2 in essence isn't okay, because it's an infringement of sega's copyright. anyway, it doesn't matter in the long run, because nintendo only takes down fangames that directly remake games, gain money or are coincidentally games they're already in the process of making. this "nintendo ninjas gon' take down your fangame!!!" joke is super inaccurateNone of it is ok, but Nintendo doesn't know because at core, its a sonic game. Plus all of the assets are original for my knowledge.
the thing is, Sega actually supports fan games and the community and only takes down games that get sold, but I do admit I thought the textures were original.by that logic, srb2 in essence isn't okay, because it's an infringement of sega's copyright. anyway, it doesn't matter in the long run, because nintendo only takes down fangames that directly remake games, gain money or are coincidentally games they're already in the process of making. this "nintendo ninjas gon' take down your fangame!!!" joke is super inaccurateand personally not very funny.
in addition, none of the assets used in pipe towers zone are original. they're all ripped from super mario all stars.
sega actively supports fangames, nintendo just tolerates their existence.the thing is, Sega actually supports fan games and the community and only takes down games that get sold, but I do admit I thought the textures were original.
well "tolerate" isn't the best word. Nintendo takes them down.sega actively supports fangames, nintendo just tolerates their existence.
unlike every other game studio I know of.well "tolerate" isn't the best word. Nintendo takes them down.
no, i think tolerate is the perfect word. there have been extremely popular fangames and ones that have received a lot of attention and publicity, such as super mario flashback and the recently released SM64 PLUS, and they haven't been taken down. nintendo justifiably only takes down fangames if they're outright illegal or clash with an official game release. 99.9% of fangames are still on the internet and the vast majority of them are mario and nintendo.well "tolerate" isn't the best word. Super Mario 63 is a major example. It’s arguably the most popular and longest living Mario fan game created and it hasn’t even been touched by Nintendono, i think tolerate is the perfect word. there have been extremely popular fangames and ones that have received a lot of attention and publicity, such as super mario flashback and the recently released SM64 PLUS, and they haven't been taken down. nintendo justifiably only takes down fangames if they're outright illegal or clash with an official game release. 99.9% of fangames are still on the internet and the vast majority of them are mario and nintendo.
