hi i just wanted to ask around if there's a mod that changes your characters per stage during a playthrough, or a simple script that does that, either per checkpoint or per, whatever

i usually just use the buddyex mod and manually add a partner and then switch to it whenever i want but i want a randomization for that sort of thing so that i get a new character per stage, and also if there's a stage progression randomizer that would be cool too

this is coming off more like a request but i swear there was a mod around here that i think i used previously that did exactly just this

It's not quite what you are looking for but the closest I'm personally aware of is the mod Metal Anyone by Terionic. It's a Metal Sonic that copies the abilities and colors of other characters selected randomly every time you spawn or respawn.
