Please report all bugs for Kart here.

Please only include bugs for the latest version of Kart. If you're on an older version than what is current, upgrade to the newest version and try and replicate the bug in that before making a post here.

Kart engine gets trash when you are in Zoom Tube holding brakes.

In battle mode, have one bumper then fall to die. but you won the match yay.

If you hit a wall and your kart is under a water that had Carry Objects action, You'll be pushed by the water.
Then stop being moved, and after that you will be able to aim left and right.

MapChange isn't always reliable as it should be. If a player spectates during the stage roulette and then join back when it starts or has ended. Then the MapChange hook won't run for that player, which will cause some unintended side effects with scripts that expects MapChange to always run. I've attched an example script that can be used to reproduce this bug.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Spectate during item roulette
  2. Join back when roulette starts or finished.

Expected result:
The player name should be printed twice to the console, one for MapLoad and one for MapChange.

Actual result:
The player's name is only printed once.

I've noticed that a few parts at the last turn of Daytona Speedway are considered by the game as off-road portions despite having a road texture.

Not sure if this is a bug or just me being dumb and forgetting a file, but 95% of the time when the game sends me into levels online, my game crashes and I get this error:
"I_Error(): Z_Free: wrong id"

I have no idea what this means, but hopefully there's a fix for it cause I wanna play online again >_<

I've experienced (and heard from one other person) that there's a bug with the Eggman Fake Item. If you are directly behind someone when they start to deploy it, and you're in the hitbox, it crashes the game. Happened first-hand to me while in a server with one other person. Below are the details from the RPT file:

There is a missing texture near the end of Sand Valley on the left side of the slopes. You'd have to go off road to see it
 
If you just joined a server with this map and the map has already began before joining, when spectating, viewpoint the host and as he hits the ice blocks you notice that the ice blocks are still viewable and actually not there.

I think this is the same bug of the ` Mario Block texture does not update with new joined players ` when it was fixed in the vanilla SRB2 2.1.21.
 
Falling off the ledge right before this area in Crystal Abyss respawns you far forward in the track rather than backward.

Edit: I didn't really test this before, but going back to it again I realized it works if you fall off on any point of the bridge, and can give even better shortcuts.

For some reason when i patched Vainilla SRB2 to 2.1.21, the game don't open anymore

The aplication don't started correctly (0xc000007b).

(it appears in spanish because im from Colombia so i transladed it to english, if i make a typo notice me)

Did you put the srb2kart files on the srb2 folder?
 
Its cos you 64bit DLLS arent compatible with 32Bit exes,

Kart is a 32bit exe.

I would definitely recommend you put kart in a separate folder and download the 32bit srb2 with all those DLLs in the kart folder.
 
In CK Cloud Tops 2, The death pits in floor doesn't have any instant kill that exists at top too. So you can clear a lap by doing a shortcut.

I think this one is already known bug, Two players respawns in the same destination. When we land with no moving, both of the players will be pushed away.

In Vanilla Hotel the door's timer is a bit too slow, and it doesn't always act like it's supposed to if you finish laps too fast. Rather than being closed then opening as you approach it, it's already open then quickly closes and re-opens to "catch up" to how it's supposed to be.



It's easiest to see with Sonic and Metal, I consistently have it happen on laps 2 and 3 if I don't make any mistakes. But even slower characters like Tails can see it happen, although not close enough for it to actually be dangerous. You can see it at the start of the Tails gif if you look closely.
I didn't care at first, until I crashed into it.

Edit: I can beat the level a bit faster now, to the point where I go in the door right before it closes in lap 2, but I'm still not fond of the potential for it to ruin runs for people. It's pretty clearly not an intentional feature at the very least.

This shortcut near the end of MKSC Rainbow Road can make you miss a checkpoint if you land too far to the right.

Spikeballs or Missiles can be spawned in floor and not on Goo Water if you started to attack.

Bananas or Mines had the same thing too. if you leave the item. it can be left on the floor and not on the Goo Water. but If you throw it, it can be thrown away but not from the floor.

Any pushables like Snowman can throw you off and away if you push it, so when you push a pushable object you will be thrown away and very fast.

It also sometimes stucks you inside the sloped floor when you push it, and then you won't be able to get out of it even if someone threw a mine on you, you'll be still stuck here and the only way to get out is re-entering the race.

MKSC Rainbow Road

I've encountered 3 bugs while trying to get a better time.
Here's Imgur album because I can't post all the gifs otherwise

First: (I've decided to put the whole lap, just to show that is almost identical to this one here)

Note that this is a legit lap, but some checkpoint was missing, resulting in a failed lap. As far as I noticed, it was on the bottom-right turn, as I jumped across a large portion of the track (almost missed it).

Second:

This one, I've probably got too fast to be in the "jump" area (because this never happened playing as Knuckles, but twice as Metal Sonic) or I drifted exactly to the edge and missed it. I don't know which one is, but both issues should be easy to solve.

Third:

Normal lap up until I try to jump across the last turn. Turns out I can't... Another failed lap. :c

Hello. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I was drifting though an curve in Midnight Channel and I got really stuck.

I can not say exactly how it happened, because I don't know either. You could possibly look up if everything in that linedef is alright.
