How do you switch a OGG music file into a file that can be played in windows media player?

Better idea: Download and run this: http://ssntails.sepwich.com/ssntails/OggDS0995.exe

Then try and load an OGG in WMP, when it tells you it dosen't know how to read a OGG, tell it to read it anyway. And viola, you can play the infinitely superior OGG in Windows Media Player.

If you still want to play in in windows media player rename the file type as mp3. It won't be a real one but it will play in windows media player. (Has done so earlier this year.)

Renaming the file extension isn't going to change the filetype. You have to re-encode it under a different format. Windows Media Player can still play a Windows Media Audio file if it has the file extension .fuehgir. Of course, Winamp is a bit different, but still. If you rename blah.ogg to blah.mp3, it will still be an OGG, not an MP3, because internally, it still uses the OGG format.
