How do you make a clone of the NiGHTS wing emblem?

As you've probably seen in my signature the past few days I'm trying to clone the Emblem used for NiGHTS mode to make more collectibles.
More specifically these are what I'm trying to make collectible:

So far they can be picked up but they don't affect score or ring count. I just need them to affect the score in the same way the NiGHTS emblems do.

I've tried coping the thing to New thing slots and swapping out the used sprites. (I copied the states to new state slots too)

Which emblem do you think I'm talking about? the one that unlocks secrets, or the one used for points?

Or are you saying that both are hardcoded to the EXE?

The only thing that NiGHTS wing shares with collectible emblems is the sprite. Nothing more.

That's why I thought I could add in more "Collectibles" By cloning and replaceing the sprite of the NiGHTS wing Emblem thats used in NiGHTS mode rather than cloning the Rings or mario mode coins. (I didn't want my collectibles to affect ring count.)

Being collectable isn't SOCced, it's hardcoded. If you want moar collectibles, you need an EXE mod.

Well I have no Idea how to do one of those yet. Maby that will be the 2008 release.

If you want, I can program the collectible for you. It would actually be pretty simple.

Oh! I get it! Glaber, just make it LOOK like there are different sprites. Steps:

1) Replace the emblem sprite with a turquoise, no-graphic image.
2) Continue making more collectibles that don't affect score in any way. Possibly add sound affects for death.
3) Place both items in exact same spot for desired affect. You might have to remove some emblem sound, maybe.

Tell me if it doesn't work.

Ok. Lets see what you can do. Just tell me if you need the sprites.

On Edge, While that does sound like it would work for singleplayer mode, it wouldn't work for NiGHTS mode as a paraloop currently doesn't affect them.

So you want to have to paraloop it to make it appear, or not?

The paraloop is suppose to Suck the items twards Super Sonic as if it were the score affecting emblems or the rings used in NiGHTS mode.

If you want the emblem in the actual NiGHTS mode, you're screwed.

A_CapeChase is a soc action.
The NiGHTS wing has data in soc edit.

And the soc editor picked up on that data leading me to believe I could clone it and make other collectibles out of it. By the way the Nights Wing Logo work outside of NiGHTS mode as regular collectibles that affect only points. (Found out in 2006 when working on the Halloween mod)

OK, I'm PMing you the EXE. The last free slot (MT_FREESLOT128) is used as the item to pick up, and the last free sound (sfx_fre800) will play when picked up, if I did it right. (Yes, I didn't bother to test it. :p)

It worked! Though it played the wrong sound, but point is it worked!
(Changed a thing's Soc number to test it)
