General project screenshot/video thread

and for the love of pete please stop making Sonic tiptoe.

I've got to be quite frank, that isn't tiptoeing, that looks more like copying how SRB2's Sonic puts actual perspective into the feet (i.e making the front of the feet look closer than the back of the feet), instead of making them point directly forward and look like tiny blobs on the end of his legs.

...Of course I'm a bit late to say this now, but oh well.

There is perspective, but IIRC it's too much perspective. Chuckles has a better example of the perspective on the shoes. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

... Is this it?
Like, does it look enough like this:

Please, PLEASE, don't use that cartoony Classic Sonic.
Your sprite looks awkward still because the refrence itself is dumb-looking.
Here, use the only properly made 3D Classic Sonic from the official games like, ever. Even beating Generations.

And if you make it far enough, Super Sonic is here as well.

Use THESE as a use for refrence. It won't look like that stupid AoSTH show, and it won't have those ridculous eyebrows, noodle arms, and most importantly correct eyes, etc, etc.

Oh wow, thanks for that :P
Edit: How could I forget sonic the fighters ._.

Can I just say a few things?

First, the link Phil the hegi posted is not AoSTH Sonic, which you vaguely seem to imply (excuse me if I'm getting it wrong here).

Secondly, dismissing a 2D reference in favour of a 3D model reference... from my own experience, 3D model references make the result sprites look more 3D themselves. I'm really not sure what direction Phil is going in, but low-poly 3D models refs are probably not that good an idea?

I was trying to make it ft with chuckles, when I learned that I had failed. terribly.
For this to fit AT ALL, I have to redo the shading, firstly. Chuckles uses 3 shades, this uses... too many. WAYYYY too many.
And then I need to blend the colors some.
I will be back shortly after correcting my failures.

Chuckles is referenced from Sonic Jam, the same thing that had that Sonic pose I posted earlier. If you want to be consistent with Chuckles, don't listen to kiba. lmao.

Here's a little personal edit to CEZ1's skybox that I made. I'm sharing it here because I think it looks a little neat.

I just don't like Classic Sonic's over-the-top cartoon look. In official artwork, he's never beyond over the top and cartoony esque....in JAPAN. And yeah it's not AoSTH, but it might as well be, if it had those stupid mohawk quills.
And it's not how many polygons it has, it's not like he should add those jaged edgings. The over-all looks is what matters, and it looks much better.

I didn't konw what Phi was aiming for either, but meh.

The first one is definitly better. My only probelm is the tail, it looks kinda LIKE A COCK weird; I fixed it showing how it wouldn't look so weird (to me, at least.):
Fixed%20Classic%20Sonic.png

Great work, though.
Okay, I'll just play with the outline some to make it... "Fade better", and remove sonic's cock, to keep SRB2 kid friendly the awkward lump.

Why are there single sprite stuff? I thought Rob said that wasn't allowed anymore. All these poorly edited one-framed Sonics (no offense) are just flooding up the whole thread. I know there's a rule about back seat moderating but COME ON! This is getting ridiculous.
