Game Breaker
MonitorsPlus is a project that Snu, Lat', Spectorious and myself have been working on. We would mention what monitors the file adds but we feel that it would be better if everyone is surprised, if you really don't want to be surprised there will be a monitor list lower down in the thread. The name of the wad is pretty self explanatory, as of version 2.5 the wad now adds a total of 48!!! new monitors to the game. (A few you might recognise)
We will be updating MP to add new monitors too, if anyone has any ideas for certain monitors that they would like to see (nothing that will break the game) then leave a comment.
As mentioned above the wad adds a total of 48 new monitors.
Some cool:
Some deadly:
Some wacky:
And some that will make you question reality:
Ten of the monitors are brand new shields. One from Roasted Ravine and one monitor from SRB2's past. The monitors spawn naturally throughout Match/CTF maps, however some are rarer than others.
Version 1.0 Monitors
#1 The Hyper Monitor:
Makes you hyper (duh) although tails doesn't turn hyper and instead gets super flickies.
#2 The Instakill Monitor:
Kills you regardless of how many rings you have.
#3 The Cactus Shield:
The Cactus Shield from Roasted Ravine with a few improvements and enhancements.
#4 The End the World Monitor:
This monitor just end the world (what were you expecting more?)
#5 The Random Hit Monitor:
Name is pretty self explanatory, it hits a random player in the game. (It can include yourself)
#6 The Anti-Matter Shield:
Similar to the Armageddon Shield but it damages everyone in the map.
#7 The Silver Ring Monitor:
The returning monitor from SRB2 v1.09.4, it gives you 25 rings.
#8 The Earthquake Monitor:
This monitor just causes an earthquake, damage can be avoided if you are airborne while it happens though.
#9 The Super Monitor:
Yeah you should have seen this coming, every monitor wad has to have a super monitor and guess what we have got one. I am sure I don't have to explain what the Super Monitor does but I will do it anyway. The Super Monitor gives you the 7 emeralds and 50 rings and makes you super.
#10 The Drop Monitor:
Be careful with this one cause if you get this monitor you drop everything! Weapon panels, ammo, emeralds, you even lose your shield too. If you do have a shield you won't lose your rings and don't worry you won't lose anything if you are super/hyper.
#11 The Lightning Monitor:
We all love Mario Kart right? Welp this monitor shrinks other players in the game, careful though it does have a chance to make them all big.
#12 The Supply Monitor:
The Supply Monitor gives you max ammo on all weapon rings (you still need to get the panels though)
#13 The Mushroom Monitor:
Yay more Mario references, pretty sure this is self explanatory, if you get this monitor you grow in size (also has a chance of shrinking you too)
#14 The Invisible Monitor:
Again the name of the monitor says it all, it makes you invisible to all players for a certain ammount of time (you can still be hit though so don't pretend to be a ghost)
#15 The Poison Shield:
Ah a new shield, the Posion Shield leaves a poisonous trail behind you, if a player touches you or runs into your trail they will become posioned and lose 2 rings per second. (You will lose the shield if you are dunked into water)
#16 The ESP Shield:
The ESP shield can be very handy since it can both push other players away and it can reflect incoming rings that other players have fired at you. But worry not cause if it hits you it automatically gets reflected back anyway.
#17 The Jump Height Monitor:
The Jump Height Monitor increases your jump height so you can go jumping around as if you are an astronaut on the moon!
#18 The Ice Shield:
The Ice Shield has 2 abilities, it reduces friction as if the floor is made of ice and you can do a ground pound and freeze nearby players!
#19 Bronze Ring Monitor:
The Bronze Ring Monitor is completely useless, it only gives you 5 rings. The main point of it is to be annoying.
#20 Combine Ring Monitor:
The Combine Ring Monitor is from Knuckles Chaotix, what it does is instead of you dropping a load of rings when you get hit, you drop one giant ring that will return all of your dropped rings when picked up.
#21 Hyper Combine Ring Monitor:
This version of the Combine Ring Monitor is from Sonic Mania, when your hit you drop a number of large rings instead of one.
#22 Random Weather Monitor:
This monitor changes the current weather to a random weather for example it could be changed to storm, snow, rain and a storm with no rain. Be careful cause there is a chance that you could have a shocking experience.
#23 Reset Score Monitor:
This monitor resets your score back to 0, it won't really affect you in CO-OP if you are not fussed about your score but in competitive game modes it can really screw you over.
#24 Fire Rate Monitor:
This monitor increases your fire rate dramatically for a limited ammount of time.
#25 Bean Monitor:
This monitor summons Mr Bean and then he steals a monitor spawn point away from you, the only way to get it back is to reload the map. (RIP Monitor Campers)
#26 Platinum Ring Monitor:
This monitor is the most useful out of the Bronze,Super and Silver Ring Monitors, it gives you 50 rings.
#27 Thunder Shield Monitor:
Press spin in mid air to summon a lightning bolt that will damage players near you and on the ground below you! The range increases the higher you are from the ground.
You are invulnerable to other Thunder Shield bolts as well as any electric damage while you have it.
#28 Bumper Shield Monitor:
Press spin in mid air to invert your vertical momentum! With it, you'll also bounce off walls and other players.
#29 Pizza Monitor:
Orders a random player a delicious, and quite aggressive, Pizza.
#30 Over Booster Monitor:
Start building up power for around 15 seconds and unleash a devastating blast that will damage everyone, or kill them if you happen to be Super or Hyper!
But be careful, getting hit causes you to drop your charge.
#31 Titanium Shield Monitor:
Gain a shield with 4 protective layers of Titanium! You are immuned to knockback, Rails and Automatic Rings and your enemies only gain 25 points for hitting you.
Though it does hinder your movement speed and jump height, the effect becomes less noticeable as you lose layers of the shield from taking damage.
#32 Spikeball Monitor:
Drag a heavy spikeball around for around 10 seconds. It may hurt other players.
#33 Web Shield Monitor:
A shield made of spider string that allows you to shoot string to hang onto walls just like the Hook Ring! Press and hold spin to shoot and automatically get pulled on any wall you hit.
#34 Earth Shield Monitor:
Press spin in mid air to take a dip straight into the ground and start digging by holding spin!
While underground, you're completely invincible to any outside damage. Let go off spin to come out and damage nearby players.
Be aware that you cannot come out of the ground right away.
#35 Crumble Monitor:
Every FOF in the map will crumble for 30 seconds!
#36 Pancake Monitor:
Through the power of Goro Akechi, turn the map into a delicious pancake!
The effect reverts after 30 seconds.
#37 Expand Monitor:
The map suddenly becomes enormous vertically!
The effect reverts after 30 seconds.
#38 Sentry Monitor:
Gain the ability to build a Sentry Gun virtually anywhere by pressing Fire.
It will shoot any nearby enemy players until its ammo or HP is depleted. You can take a look at this information on the HUD.
You can only have two sentries up at the same time given you find more Sentry Monitors.
#39 Goop Monitor:
Turns any "swimmable" FOF in the map into Goop for 30 seconds and then reverts back to water.
Hope to get players stuck on the ceilings to have them drown like idiots!
#40 Eclipse Monitor:
The brightness of the map takes a dip for 30 seconds, and it becomes nearly impossible to see.
Hope to get other players to fall into pits due to the lack of sight!
#41 Turbo Monitor:
We're not gonna make it, let's speed up!
Run at thok speed for around 20 seconds, leaving a damaging trail of fire behind you.
Be careful though, there's no brake.
#42 Megidolaon Monitor:
Megidolaon for everyone!
Elizabeth summons Thanatos and rids you of every other player in the match!
This may be blocked by Super / Invincible players or randomly fail for lucky ones.
#43 Heavy Gravity Monitor:
Increases the gravity on everyone for 30 seconds.
#44 Low Gravity Monitor:
Lowers the gravity on everyone for 30 seconds.
#45 BATKAN!!! Monitor:
Through the blessing of our lord BATKAN!!!, gain godmode for 20 seconds, allowing you to even walk on death pits!
#46 Fitness Monitor:
CAUSE YOUR FITNESS IS MY BUSINESS!
#47 Blooper Monitor:
Spreads ink on every other player's screen, preventing them from seeing correctly for a while.
#48 Regeneration Monitor:
Gain 200 rings accross roughly 6 seconds, even if you are hit during that period.
#49 Blue Shell Monitor:
Sends a shell that targets the player with the most points in the game, be careful, that may also be yourself!
A warning appears on the target's screen.
A skillfull spindash can allow you to dodge the explosion.
#50 Resistance Monitor:
For a minute, prevents you from losing more than 20 Rings for getting hit,
allowing you to keep shooting after getting hurt given you had more than 20 rings.
Version 2.3 Monitors
#51 Hyper Sneakers Monitor:
This monitor is much like the Super Sneakers Monitor except you move at the speed of a hyper form, it is also worth mentioning that it also buffs your actionspd. This monitor lasts just as long as the regular super sneakers.
Version 2.5 Monitors
#52 Juggernaut Drive Monitor:
This monitor is much like the Over Booster Monitor except it is far more powerful, you get the chance to use explosion 5 times, but be careful because getting hit can cause you to lose one of your five chances.

2.5.1
v2.5.1 TEMPORARY CHANGES
As of v2.5.1 the Shields and Monitors have been separated as a temporary feature, they will be combined again in v3.0. The Monitor List and Command List has been changed in the individual wad files. The commands for MonitorsPlus.wad remains the same so if you want to find out what has changed then do the commandlist or monitorlist. As for the commands in ShieldsPlus.wad they will be listed below.
*1 - shieldlist - Gives the list of shields
*2 - spawnplusshield - Allows the player to spawn a shield monitor
*3 - giveplusshield - Replacement for the givempshield command
*4 - giveplusshieldlist - Replacement for the givempshieldlist command
Edits
*Seperated the Shields into a seperate .wad file for players who only want to play with shields (See the Commands section for more)
Note: ShieldsPlus.wad and MonitorsPlus.wad are fully compatible so adding them both together would be as if they where never seperated.
Another Note: ShieldsPlus.wad and MonitorsPlus.wad will be combined again in v3.0 as the menu will feature an option to turn off individual monitors.
