Don't reply to spambot posts

They don't always post in Off-Topic, you know. They sometimes post in General Discussion. They just post more often in Off-Topic than anywhere else.

Some other tips to spoting a bot:

They usually have an ICQ button (next to the profile buttons, and it looks something like this ->
icon_icq_add.gif
)

Their post has mostly has multiple links to either porn sites or drug sites.

Sometimes it has a bad joke, and then a bunch of unrelated links.
Or it will put a bunch of links and nothing else.
Or it will say something about having a nice domain name.

Most importantly use some common sense.

God, who thought of that? It sounds dumb as hell when there's a post saying "Hi, nice domain name www.pikminreturns.com," like they expect that we have a low enough IQ not to delete them. Not only that, but who cares about a nice domain name anyway? >_>

I'm totally gonna make an account on some forum and say "Nice domain name" on my first post.

Will it be just me, or would there be more bots than actual members in the future.

When I send this post, the last 8 joined members were all bots.

They never post in someone elses topic
Wrong, they just posted in the KH2 topic.

That bot posted 3 times, Not one. Bots are becoming more mean and intelligent. Unless that guy was a vandal. One had a post count of 17 once all of them being a suspicious link. Many of them being a bump.

Okay, I'm getting sick and tired of this.

I will reiterate: Do not reply to any spambot posts. It is wholly unnecessary. Recently I had to delete many spambot posts that were inside existing topics, ones that you replied to. Remember, the forum staff will take care of these, and you are not making anything better by replying to them. When deleted, your replies to the spambot will remain, causing you to look absurd and clutter up the forums.

Please, people. Use common sense. There is absolutely no reason to reply to a spambot post. Just ignore it. You'll save yourself embarrassment and keep the forums tidy. I really don't want to have to enforce this further, so please folks, do your part for the sake of these forums.

Um... I'll just answer one of your questions instead of all of them. <_<

A few months ago, I thought I'd make this wad based off of wacky events happening to the SRB2 message board (Sepwich going down, attack of the bots, wads in production, etc.); I tried to visualize the board and make it into an actual city. I decided to call it Sepwich City, as it seemed to fit.

However, boredom grew of making all the sectors, and soon I lost interest. I didn't even tell anyone I was making it, so that wasn't a problem anyway.

I'm tempted to pick it back up, but I'll do that some other time. =P
