custom ambience

Does anyone know how to do this? I want my ambience to be like that water ambience and stuff, but I have no idea how to do this.

Well What you do is make a custom invisible thing that plays a custom sound. If you can figure out how to get the custom sound to play instead of Sonic's thok sound, let me know as I have thoking ghosts
