Colors become strange (in Srb2)

Sometimes when im testing maps

After a few seconds went by, it looks like my screen became high or something... it becomes very colorful (not inverted)

Normally if i was Blue with sonic, it would turn him into a Bright Neon orangish-red, and the scenery would become multicolored, and my eyes would hurt


I am not able to take a screenshot of this, because when i look at the screenshot, The picture looks normal, diffrent from what it looked like in-game

Anyone know the cause of this?
 
Common glitch in software mode, because of palleted graphics the Windows pallet sometimes may get jammed into the mix, thus you get a funky color issue. Only times I ever have it are after an Alt-Tab.
 
Yeah, it's a rare but rather simple to fix glitch. Simply Alt-Tab and reclick on SRB2 and it should fix it.
 
Do i hold down the Alt+Tab buttons while clicking on the Srb2 EXE?
or just press the Alt+tab buttons (not held down) and then click the EXE?

Sorry to bump up an old topic but I got a Really Bad case of this. Not even alt+tab is helping. What should I do?
 
I agree... Alt+Tab isnt really helping that much... the colors still manage to become "High"/Wierd (as i would say it)
 
Try switching your display mode to 256 colors before playing, then.
 
yep, it is a Software-Glitch, it happen to me too, after that i only play in opengl mode, it is very good and you can see up and down without problem.
(exept for sprites in NIGHTS)
 
Iget the same problem. But Holding Alt + pressing tab normally takes me to my desktop and I just click the SRB2 tab and that normally helps me. If that does not help than that means you might have something running in the background. Try this goto start botton and click Run. In the Run box type msconfig and hit OK. Then click the last tab on top of the msconfig menu (I think it say something like start something). I am on my mac so I can not check to see what it says.
 
Sometimes this happens when your desktop changes wallpapers with a set time. It can happen to any game with pallets. If this is the case, then make it not change when you are playing srb2.

no, it's not spyware, it a know bug with Windows that it sometime does not restore the palette fully, soo you have to alt-tab to another program, and then alt-tab back to SRB2 so Windows can try to restore the palette agian
 
I tried that logan... It doesnt work that well...

Right when i enter the srb2 program, its normal for about 2 seconds... then goes to the high colors... then i keep Alt-Tabbing and it keeps happening
 
Usaly that only happens to me when there are pop ups on my other PC(wich is very weird because my browser it happens when my browse isn't on)
 
I think I'm starting to fuigure out the problem. try this: If you have loads of programs open along with SRB2 start closing them and if nessary reboot SRB2.
