The mb makes sure to not let any mods to do anything to your computer so its safe here

As long as you get mods from here, they are subject to review before release and are therefore verified as safe. Obtaining files from elsewhere may or may not be safe, you'll have to use your own judgement to determine if such files are worth the risk.

I personally have never encountered a file for SRB2 containing a virus. Take that for what you will.
