What if we hacked this engine:

to be like SRB2 levels? I'm usually only good at texture hacks, but what if we got some good level coding people to do it? We could re-map the levels to be like the srb2 levles, I mean, it would be hard, yes, but just to remake Green Flower Zone? Even just Act 1? That would be cool,(to me.)

I'm just thinking, people hack a lot of games nowadays, (thps3, sadx, etc.) Why not just this engine? And if the controls are too hard, couldn't we change them? I know that would be a huge feat, but I'm sure there are some decent modders/hackers on here.

READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GRASS LEVEL

To play the grass level, go into the Stages folder, and edit Stages.xml. Change 'stage folder="Stage1"' to 'stage folder="Stage2"' (or vice versa if you're changing it back). Save, and run the program again.

Is it possible?

The entire point of making a level is so that you have more stuff to play, right? Playing old levels in a new engine defeats the purpose.

I'm also sorta looking at Sonict, here.

Yeah. I just wanted to see what it would be like in the source engine. I haven't worked on it in a long time now.

Although a hack of this would be awesome, I think SRB2 should be how it is now. I reckon I may use this engine for a fangame someime in the future, although I can only see videos

Because everytime I run the program, a black screen appears for a second, and then closes. How can I fix this?

I haked this game, I changed the music to "What I'm Made Of" and i colored the black and white stuff on the first level.
 
Erm, what can I use to edit this? I want to create stuff for this but...eh,
I dont know what to use...D:



I did this for the heck of it, it looks like GFZ got nuked.
