It has been recently discovered that even robots like the Jet jaw have trouble working in 2d mode.
Apparently anything that can move like a crawla or buzz will have this navigational problem in 2d mode. They don't turn around untill they hit a wall (fly/swimming) or reach the edge (gound based). and oddly enough, there are badniks that do work properly too such as the jettysyns.
Thinking about this problem, it would appear that this is tied with how certain movement thinkers work. I believe the thinkers or actions in question are as follows:
A_JetJawRoam
A_Chase
and A_BuzzFly
