I saw it coming, Im not a big fan of avatar It was a okay show, and now they're making a live action movie of it, will it be good? Only the movie can tell that. What cracked me up a little though is that they originally had "Jesse McCartney as Zuko(Good thing he wasn't able to do it though, right?) So yeah im hoping its actually going to be good, and not disappointing like a certain live action movie *cough* db evolution *cough*

Sites about the live action:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0938283/

What I think so far:
I actually like the fact they found a child actor to play Aang(who better to play a kid avatar right?) and I like the cast list they have for it, its pretty good some of the people actually have had some good roles.

So what are your opinions?

Woah, casting seems pretty good, except Aang's actor seems a bit unfitting.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, I mean this is his first role. But hopefully he can pull it off. And to me he looks a little like Aang but I don't see a big resemblance.

Jackson Rathbone as Sokka? Lol!! Im sorry but unless they get the makeup right, I'll still find it hilarious to see him as that character. But other than that, I hope he did well.

Looks like a 15 minute Photoshop job.

Whats with todays cartoon standards. Ben 10,Dragon Ball, and now Avatar?
I honestly don't like this bandwagon. This is a good show, I hope they don't spoil it.

Edit:Forgot Naruto....

Nowadays there's mostly just imports from Europe and Canada. Some of the new American produced cartoons are either late night Flash stoner crap, or boring action cliche crap (Transformers: Animated, Turtles Fast Forward) or the increasingly rarer comedic stuff (Chowder). Even channels are throwing away their regular cartoon slots in favor for real, tween-focused live action laughtrack-laced crap.

If you thought Sonic X in 2003 was dumb, you were spoiled. You haven't seen nothing yet.

It looks okay. You guys need to stop judging movies just because they're based on a cartoon/anime. I understand that many of the movies are "Eww", but come on. Every time this happens you guys instantly call it bad.
It's Sonic all over again.

Isn't Zuko's hair supposed to be in a pony tail? And aren't the Fire Nation soldiers supposed to be wearing uniforms with more, you know...

Red?

In any case, thank God that Dev Patel is doing Zuko and not Jesse McCartney. Seriously, Jesse McCartney?

He couldn't have pulled it off even if he tried. He's no good at being hot-headed. (pun intended)

Ben 10 is okay, it would've been better if they had skipped the whole Ghostfreak bit, though (my brother watches it a lot.)

I'm wondering how are the special effects gonna work, considering it's based off an anime with ELEMENTAL powers... Also:

I laughed hard there. They were putting a singer in a movie? What's next movie makers? A plumber? A paint artist?

He was actually Theodore off of Alvin and the Chipmunks, if you call that a movie...

I'm not sure who you are talking to, but I don't think anyone is saying this movie is terrible. We're saying the IDEA is terrible.

"Terrible" isn't constructive. Can you explain why it would be terrible, other than not being a cartoon?
