Any way to slow the characters or game down to make it easier to play?

Hello everyone! It's my first post here. I've just downloaded and been playing a lot of SRB2 so far, and I really like it. The only issue is that the characters seem to move too fast for me to be able to control them properly. I know it's definitely a skill issue, but my hand dexterity and reflexes aren't what they used to be when I was younger. I tried looking in the Addons section for any way to slow the game down. Either by reducing the top speed of all characters, or perhaps even by running the game at a slower speed.

Other than to "git gud," are there any other kinds of mods that could help me? Thanks!

I would definitely suggest checking out the add-ons section for slower characters in general. You could also check the custom characters tutorial on the wiki to make a slower variant of whichever character you'd like.

If you open the console and type timescale 0.9 or any number under 1 it will make the game run a bit slower. However, using this command also marks your current session as cheated and thus won't let you save data.

While technically faster, I find Adventure Sonic is a lot easier to control than the vanilla cast, especially in the air.

Marios Bros have a signifcantly decreased top speed, but higher acceleration. I'd reccommend picking Mario because he has good traction while Luigi is slippery.

I also have a hardcode mod focused on making the controls (very subjectively) better, but this also overhauls some of the vanilla cast abilities, so it may not be what you're looking for.
