I'm sure no one really wants to see, but I found the picture of Charlie the Mongoose.
In hindsight he looks like Surge the Tenrec, but in my defense, I didn't know she existed then.
Please pardon my bad art. Could be worse I suppose.

I thought of making a sonic oc when I did roleplaying with friends back in Srb2 netgames, I thought it'd be cool of him to be a descendant of the Echidna race, but today he's now based off of Egypt stuff.

I've remembered the stories behind the making of my other OC's and realized that they were good enough to share.
Groove the Pelican: One day in 2022, I discovered Sonic fan games and wanted to make one for myself. (It's currently in the works btw.) Playing Sonic Galactic, and seeing Tunnel the Mole, I realized I could make my own character, so I set out brainstorming.
I wanted to make someone who was a cool dude, like how Sonic was supposed to be, but more cool to me, personally. I really love music (Especially disco at the time.) and had recently dubbed a Sonic Mania OST cassette tape, so I knew that the character had to be musically oriented and carry a Walkman, similar to Vector. As for the species, it has nothing to do with Louisiana, or any pelican traits, I just liked pelicans.
So with that all sorted I just needed a name, and BOY did I go through some bad ones before listening to "Let's Groove" by Earth, Wind, and Fire when suddenly it clicked. So I checked the Sonic Wiki for any characters named Groove, nothing. Then I checked for pelicans, and I only found two, the non-mobian one from Sonic Unleashed, and Sketch Lampoon from AoSTH.
Originally Groove was supposed to be a Classic Era only character, but I finally caved in and made an Adventure Era design (Currently my PFP.) and a BOOM Era design, where to make fun of the drastic design changes made by Sega, Groove would be a brown pelican rather than an American white pelican, and then I thought about that for more than 2 seconds and realized, maybe that wouldn't be the best idea
. So now the BOOM Era design just has the sports tape, and carries an iPod instead.
And that is how my first OC, my most favoritest creation, the namesake of all my Sonic-related accounts, came to be.
Nyx the Shoebill: One day my intrusive thoughts pestered me to draw a shoebill. "Why?" "Why not?" "Good enough for me." So I did. Then I thought, what if I made a Mobian shoebill? Shoebills make a noise like a machine gun, what if I gave her a gun? I had recently played Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), so I figured this could be a character in a made-up sequel. The birds have a grouchy demeanor, so I made her the villain. Suddenly, her backstory started falling into place, how she would be the next version of Project Shadow, and how that could potentially fit into existing canon. (I didn't know about Eclipse the Darkling yet, very similar deal.) I then slept on the idea, and drew her in the morning.
Now for the name. Technically being Shadow's sister, I started there, found some synonyms and ALMOST settled on Eclipse (who, again I didn't know about.) but figured it to be too on-the-nose. So I check the Greek and Roman gods, usually a good place for names, when BAM! Nyx, Greek goddess of the night. Feminine, generally obscure, and what's this? Daughter of CHAOS?! (And mother of the god of darkness.) Knowing how Project Shadow is all about chaos energy, this was too perfect. I had found her name.
Further research on shoebills teaches me that they are actually closely related to pelicans. Somehow I had accidentally created the Shadow the Hedgehog to Groove's Sonic. Whilst playing BeamNG.Drive, I thought to myself, how cool would it be if Nyx had an '05 Mustang GT to rival Shadow's Dark Rider? So now that's part of her lore.
Anyways to make a long story short, Nyx is mostly the creation of the voices in my head.
And now I'm playing through Skyward Sword because the voices did the wojak point apon seeing a loftwing. Art surely to follow.

Leo was made because years ago on Roblox I was receiving copyright strikes, so I made Leo so I could keep making Sonic games.
The strikes were from Nintendo but in my defense I was a moron.

These are the earliest drawings i could get of Andy. I made him around the time i made my account for this website, originally a floppa but then i turned him into sort of a humanization of Sonic. I didn't know what the translation of my name in English was, so i just thought of his real name being Adrian.
The idea was pretty simple, Sonic but a human and rather childish, which had already been done before.
This was also first planed to be a mere profile picture for my account in this website. The actual FIRST one i made, i deleted. Just know he looked a little too fat.

Then a few months later i actually bothered making lore for him, gave the mf some friends, made him go insane, trauma shit n' stuff.
I eventually just straight up made him a villain, murdering literally half of the planet, Including his own friends because he was being a crazy bitch like they described. It was until i just said Fuck all, this guy is too boring and unnecessarily overpowered (To clarify, early Goku level at minimum), and decided to remake Andy. I also completely changed the story at the end by taking one from Pucci's book and pulled out a universal reset.
I ended up getting better at art and really thought of making something somewhat original.
(2024 - This current micro instant)
At about 2024 i realized the translation to my name was Andrew, not Adrian.
I won't mention much about the new story, mainly cause frankly no one would really care and because nothing comes to mind at the moment.
Basically the original Andrew was divided into two people, Andrew and Anderson. Anderson being the sadistic, psychopathic lucid being that branches from the original story. Andrew being... Well, me. This time he's not the protagonist n' all that main character stuff, but he's still my favorite.
To put this other unrelated fact simply: The planet they live in is like a fever dream variant of Earth, and dreams are supposedly no different from being awake.
I also actually bothered making a ton of other relevant characters and reimagined a few others, opposed from the only ones in the original being just 6, one of them being a floating Sonic hood. I remade that one too by the way.
In the end, i made him into his own thing.

The first pictures are definitely a humanized Sonic, the later ones are kinda creepy looking to me, but I admire anyone who realizes their OC is OP and does something about it. Also I'm gonna go make a mobian floppa now "Fizz the Caracal" BRB.
Edit: here he is. He's a driver for Chaos Cola. Background character really. I just gave up on the one where he's on the radio. Anyone is welcome to use him, I don't really care, just keep him a humble trucker.
The name came from Floppa, shortened to Flop, synonym to Fizzle, shortened to Fizz, which is what soda does, and it's also a reference to the Dr. Pebba meme.
