Adventure Mode - How useful is it really?

It's been said on record that Adventure Mode was made specifically to shut up SA fans by showing that SRB2 is capable of Sonic Adventure-like mechanics. As cool as it is, though, is the gametype really useful beyond that?

To date, I don't think any single mod has made meaningful use of SA mode. SASRB2 is even debatable, in my opinion, where I might go as far to say it uses SA mode as a bunch of gimmicks. Though, is it really pointless to the extent that SA mode should, say, "be removed from 1.1," or does it have some merit and I just haven't tried anything good in a while? :P

SA Mode enables things that can be used in a normal level, and at the same time enables the horrible Analog Mode. That control scheme is so bad that I had to bind q "analog off" and mash the Q key when entering a new level so that it wouldn't interfere with my FPS control setup.

Meh, I just find it annoying more than anything else, since I almost never use chasecam anymore...

I'm sure it could have merit. The thing is, nobody to date has used it in a way that isn't annoying to control.

I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't in 1.1, but I don't see any sense in removing it. I'm sure someone could eventually make good use of it in the future.
