Advanced cutscene making

I have a plan for making custom credits, but in order to do so I need to know how to do the stuff done in the opening sequence of the unmodded game or the "Did you collect all the chaos Emeralds" bid from after the credits in 1.09.4.

I'm thinking what I wan't may be the "Cutscene with Text, Multiple Pictures" section of the wiki's page, but how do you get more than on picture on screen at once?

I think having multiple pictures at once for those cutscenes is hardcoded into the game.

If it is or not, I'd like to know. I don't want to have to keep guessing at what I can and can't use for my mods.

There is the end screen and all other pictures
It s hard to find!
