about some shine effects

I've seem on many youtube videos and images on this forum that in some people's game Super Sonic has a Shining aura and has different rings effect qhen you collest than on my version, It's something about the version(I have the 1.09.4 version) or it's something I have to do.

That would be OpenGL mode, which uses hardware-accelerated graphics. You can turn it on by using the command line switch -opengl.

Once a while back YouTube compressed this game into OpenGL.

Because it's not a console command, it's a command line parameter.


Of course, the easier way to get to openGL mode is to open the launcher, and check "OpenGL mode"

Open Notepad, type -srb2win -file(Wad Files if you want them) -opengl. Save As (Name).bat, you should have an MS-DOS BAT File.

I use a shortcut and put the command line in the target, but it's not like I use OpenGL anyway.

OpenGL makes the graphics look better.


However, it MAY crash your computer.

It happened to me once during a FINAL BOSS Level.

Good thing I saved.

Actually, it'll only crash your computer if your graphics card sucks.
