Still, when Spore: Galactic Adventures comes out, I suppose someone could make an SRB2 adventure. There's a very good looking Sonic creature out there and vehicles that attack you are confirmed.

Funny how you're implying that in order to make a Sonic game, you need an engine made to create monsters.

Doom was also made for shooting only, but since the code was open-source, and was already edited to make Legacy, it was possible to make a Sonic game out of that. That was more than 10 years ago, and since Spore isn't open-source, that's 20+ years for you right there.

I imagine Blender would be a practical application for creating a 3D Sonic fangame, mainly because there's already a few Blender Sonic games out there.

As for the source engine though, I actually didn't realize it was Open Source.

Weather it is or not I have no Idea, I'm just asking. of course people have already used the engine for a couple of point and click mods, and in the create a mod option of the SDK one of the sub options is Source code only (Advanced users only)

I know. I know the limitations of SRB2 and Doom Legacy, but I said that is the first step in a new 3D game. (or a new character in Spore)

Yeah? Wow! I never think. I don't know how to use other specific MD2 software, but I made some models with Blender. Just OUCH.
