3D modeling style guide/tutorial request

Hello,

I'm interested in making SRB2K themed models, they seem to have a unique shading method and textures. I'm an experienced modeler, but texturing/sprite work I'm novice at best. Are there any written tutorials or comments regarding capturing the specific SRB2k look? Or are there any .blend file floating around?

Please let me know, any information is helpful.
 
Flarn had created this and used it for their character, Sparks. This one should be able to render the 8 required angles you need from your model

I fiddled with it a few times and, despite my limited blender knowledge, I made decent looking renders for a proof of concept boss. It’s really useful for bigger characters or objects like Brak (who is actually prerendered if you didn’t know)
