It depends on what they are changing/adding in 2.3, I don't know what they are adding only then they are ""revamping"" the levels for some reason (prob because they are adding some actual momentum in 2.3 and the current level design doesn't even fit that lol), changing Sonic's main ability and resprites to most of the cast (well, I think this is coming in a later update, idk what), so at this rate, I think it's coming 2030 or something idk

I find it funny that 2.2 has been the current version of the game as long as 2.1 was. 2.2 to 2.3 is going to be the longest wait between the very major releases of SRB2 the game has ever seen. The biggest gap was always 5 years, sometimes even just a little bit longer than that.
It's best we try not to speculate, either. 2.3 is barely underway, at least, from what I recall, so expecting something within even a year or two from now is SUPER unreasonable imo.
