MysteryMiles's lightmap

MysteryMiles's lightmap 1.2

MysteryMiles submitted a new resource:

MysteryMiles's lightmap - It's a lightmap that makes your shadows more vibrant!

This is a very simple add-on, sorta inspired by ring racers and it's lightmap.

It's purpose? well
have you ever wondered why the shadows are usually so dull and brown? well, a lightmap is the thing that defines how colors get gradually darker in shadows.

So what does this mod do? well
make them more vibrant and adds more color to it's ramps that way there's more transition tones, meaning it ends up being smoother, you get more vibrant looking shadows, and less uncomfortable transitions...

Note for anyone using this mod on non-Windows systems, just use the command line parameter -file MMILES_LightMap/MMILES_LightMap_V1.1.wadand everything should work fine

Anyone know why this Addon now keeps crashing my game? I was using V1.0 & V1.1, but now with V0.2 it crashes in Vanilla with No Other Mods and only decides to work with certain Pals. I'm in 2.2.15 on a Laptop that runs the game at around 300FPS usually with no issues. The SIGSEGV & Video Clip Crash happens when I load it in Vanilla and the "backlink" happens with Pal Mods.

because, like i said, is not an addon that you can load directly, you have to use the .dat to boot it up, as to why this happen, no idea tbh, but it just how it works

one thing tho, i've been told that this maybe only works on windows, if that's not your case well.... sorry

i'm asumming you didn't know this cuz you didn't read the description of the addon, is okay, dw, just make sure to do it next time ^-^

Okay so, just a personal question I have. Is there a way I can make the .bat file run with a custom srb2 build? (akin to something like cherry)

Okay, never mind me, I found out that using the notepad to edit the command to use the .exe name of the custom build instead of the vanilla one can allow you to use the shader (at least from what I could see) seamlessly.

hey just so everyone who uses linux knows, if you run the game on steam with the command given by the .bat file in your launch options (without the srb2win.exe of course) it works the same as the .bat file

It doesn't seem like your wad is compatible with any other lua mods, hun. I put this wad into my autoexec.cfg and it sigseg'd at the titlescreen. I even tried loading with JUST the wad only, with no other mods whatsoever, and though I was able to get out of titlescreen and into GFZ1 that way, I noticed that the music/audio sounded warbly. Almost like the game was chugging to process something. It also sigseg'd as soon as i tried to load literally anything else on top of it too, so.... yeah.

idk what an outoexe.cfg is but from my testing the only way to make it work is just to make it load while in the bootup, this is why i put a .bat
