Swift the "poorly drawn" Dragon WIP

Kinda feeling better now, so, here's a small update

Originally (as a joke) instead of using of Swift's new NiGHTS sprites as base for her main Super Form, she was going use the parody form I drawn a while back

(here's the only sprite made for it lol) maybe for April-Fools, I come back to this idea later but nahhhh, I prob get someone else to do it aka never XD

Anyways, I didn't realize how tall the actual form will be in-game

Also, haven't did any real progress of the V2 Update the NIGHT demo thing because I'm still waiting for the it for the actual thing to be approved in the first place again, I don't why it's taking so long to approve a basically at the moment, a reskin? maybe that's why? fuck.. man, I'm so unmotivated right now BUT I wait,

don't wanna be mad at something like this, it makes me looks like an ungrateful asshole lol

And maybe, when it eventually DOES get released, the ratings of this thing will prob decide if I want to continue or not

I was actually about to ask you about this yesterday... (I hope it’s going to keep being that way, or atleast it won’t be as bad as it used to be.) And In the meantime I wanna ask you a question. While I was looking at the oldest build of this addon I noticed that in Swift’s continue sprites, when she half-closes her eyes you can see her having a colored eye-lids... Did we as a society really gave a literal featureless dragon, a beauty complex?! (Why she’s looking like that tho, did she thought she’s Rouge? )

I will mention your addon when I message staff about my stage that been sitting untouched for 9 days already. Because 24 days of approvment cycle shouldn’t be normal. But I’m sure that all this is just a coincidence, and you just unnecesserly stress yourself out by tying this to your addon. I noticed that judges barely post anything since september started, so It’s not like you’re being targeted somehow, I think that the people at discord have messed up your perception of this addon which makes you feel negative about it any time some minor inconvinance happens that’s completely unrealeted to the addon itself. :< (It kinda hurts me seeing this whole ”character arc” happen in real time...)

And maybe, when it eventually DOES get released, the ratings of this thing will prob decide if I want to continue or not

But If I had to choose my already released addon it would be N.E.C act 1, or maybe she would even appear both acts! C:

Yeah, that's a thing I might do in my future stages as well, but of course with variety of other characters! And the only way of repay I will accept, is if you won't doubt yourself and your skills ever again, because you really nailed some of the sprites you've done. (And I bet these guys from the discord server never even wrote a single line of lua in their whole lifes. :P And sometimes less is more, not everything has to be flashy and ground-breaking, just having an original idea is sometimes enough for any addon to be good.)

That's actually sounds really cool! I think I will actually do something like that, it would fit right in with this stage. And I also might add her to act 2. I don't know in which way though.

So I was thinking about a cave already, but honestly I think I might just make a whole new section in the two-pathed cave with her just vibing in the secret cavern. With of course a big hole in the celling with the cool "spreading-light" effect.

And @InfernoMelon, I decided to lock in... and I made these up and down sprites! (from the back)

I might clean them up a bit later, but I can ahead tell you that you can use them in anyway you want! I will send all the sprites I will make in a PK3 so you'll be able to quickly import them into the addon itself, but only when I'll remake all the sprites I see the need to. Or you can just use them as inspiration for how to remake them your way! Either way, I hope you'll like these!

In that case, Swift could realistically be a ”treasure hunter” character, just like knuckles and rouge! She has claws to dig and wings to glide! :3 (I really like this Swift and Catty dynamic btw. I find it pretty silly. :>)

I myself don’t have a strict policy when it comes to using any of my sprites. You can just snatch them without any credit, but I will still get excited when someone will use my sprites and I will expose myself as the creator of them. C: That means you can just use them raw, but if you rather redraw them yourself, then I find it cool too!

Honestly, that's shocking af (to me at least) due to his maps constantly giving featured in the Maps Categories (if you the chance, try Angel Island Tour or Sol Sestancia first)

(here's one, this being in the Sol Sestancia 2 Level-Pack)
it's basically just acts like level-decorations like all SRB2 maps does but with more references/cameos

Also putting the cameo chars in secret spots is a actual really clever idea tbh

I made two (actually three but that one is more of a sketch) sprites today and these are just the jump sprites but this time from the front!

And this shows how easily and quicker you can make whole new sprite, just by editing the old one!
(Even though I seen that you did this already with the jump and the "slow flight" aka jog, aka walk sprites. Still a neat thing to look out for.)
I'm honestly glad that you will remake the sprites yourself and that they only based around my concepts. When I draw Swift myself and then look at your sprites, your's just look weirdly special. This is type of highly-specific charm that I or no other will be able to recreate no matter how much experience one has with drawing her. I hope you get what I mean.

She'll just sleep in the middle of a secret cavern with a hole in the top illuminating her. And I used a heavily modified run sprite for this, because I'm sure I wouldn't be able to even draw it.

Awww, I like it!

It's way better now, but the head seems like, less round in the falling sprite...?

Here's an example, you can just redraw the head and It'll look fine! And you maybe could move the falling sprite a bit to the right so the her right leg won't offset itself compared to the jumping sprite.

And remember to switch the side jump sprites with the side-back sprites (A.k.a the cooler side jump sprite. :>) And I maybe could try making a replacement for the side-back jump sprite. Idk I describe the right sprite, but just know that I mean that really on-model one. (I actually used it as a base for redrawn jump sprites. :>)
