SRB2 Kart Won't connect to the master server

When I boot up the game & try to get to the server browser it says that there was a problem connecting to the master server.

It's completely normal, the Master server ussualy does that soo you just need to wait for it to reset or the two other options that are : updating the game (which i don't think you need to, since you didn't reffer something about it) or going to the Master server tab here in the MB and copy the IP of the server you want to join.

Have you guys tried to reinstall the game? It could work idk, but don't forget to make a copy of your gamedata.dat file, i mean, if you want to save your progress.

well, i did that and it says the same problem:
there is a problem connecting to the master server
Hello!
First of all, you're suggested not to "hijack" existing threads, especially old ones, since your problem could be different than of the thread's initiator.
Please note the tilde/backtick key on your keyboard, next to the '1' key and above the TAB key. Please try connecting to the master server again; after you see the error message on your screen, go back to SRB2's main menu and press the tilde/backtick key to open SRB2's console. Please reply back here the specific error message you've got. (You can also inspect the log file that SRB2 leaves in its directory (folder) instead of opening the console in-game.)

Also please type whether you're trying to play on SRB2 or SRB2Kart.

I'm taking a guess here. Is it possible that you have an antivirus with HTTPS scanning? Did you try rewriting the master server's address in the settings to use plain HTTP instead of HTTPS?

1. yeah, i have a antivirus but i don't know what exactly is HTTPS scanning

2. nope, i didn't try to use http instead of https (tbh, i don't know how to do that).

In the settings -> server settings -> advanced server settings, you have the option to change the master server address. You can try erasing the address there and rewriting it to start with 'http:' instead of 'https:' and the rest of the address the same as it was before, or you can try disabling Web Shield in Avast temporarily and try reconnecting to the master server and see if it changed something.

both options didn't work, what else i can do?

reinstall the game for the 3rd time?

It would be useful to know how the error has changed. Since you tried changing the master server's URL from HTTPS to HTTP, it should no longer be an "SSL" error. Also, what happens when you open this link in your browser? https://ms.kartkrew.org/ms/api

I checked the master server's address and I can see that it redirects from HTTP to HTTPS, so it still tries to connect securely and thus your error is the same. Could you try to disable HTTPS scanning in Avast?
If you still get an error with HTTPS scanning disabled, be sure to say what error you get now.
Don't forget to re-enable HTTPS scanning afterwards, even if disabling it solved the issue! You can try setting up an exception for the master server afterwards so HTTPS scanning wouldn't be disabled entirely, for your protection.

From curl_easy_perform: SSL connect error

SRB2 Kart (16)
Binding to 0.0.0.0
Network system buffer: 8Kb
Network system buffer set to: 64Kb
HMS: connecting 'https://ms.kartkrew.org/ms/api/games/SRB2Kart/version?v=2.2'...
